Lets just make a difference this year.

Hidden behind the glimmer and shimmer of our city live these bold children, who watch us shop extravagantly, practicing and enjoying a lavish lifestyle, while they sleep and eat on the streets and earn their living by selling humble merchandize. They experience the extreme contrast, they watch children of their own age going to school and celebrating the festivals and yet they smile back when ever someone smile’s at them, they laugh and giggle when at play, they are content with the very little they have, they never complain and are still thankful to God.

They are indeed far more stronger, far more richer, far more content and far more thankful (to God) then we are. We must include them in our festivals, we must share a smile with them. Lets give them a neatly packed gift this year, not to just make them happy but also to show them that they do exist, and we do notice them and they are an important part of our city, and they are our fellow citizens. Lets just make a difference this year.

Good on ya for making us feel more responsible. I think we can all make a child smile and make him/her feel loved and valued. Unfortunately the more rich we get the more distant we get from the underprivileged.

Do you know of any charity which ‘really’ works for the relief and benefit of these poor children? I would like to donate the right organization.

    Bro Kashif,

Check archieve, and read my message. Charity begins at home.

The biggest organization for charity is families around us and wait for us to look at them. Look around you, around our close / distant relatives, acquaintances and you will find many mediocre people who are tight lipped of self respect but yet needy and deserve our attention.

Be kind, be generous, do it for sake of happiness of ALLAH, for your satisfaction sake, and walk away. The best charity is the one which when given by right hand is not known to left hand. (means sadqa, khairat, zakat, ehsan, karo Allah ke khatir aur bhool jaoo, Allah ke khatir, keyon kay sela-ay rehmi ka ajar ALLAH 70 times higher dayta hai)

An eye opener for all of us. Hope and pray that we Karachiites can help all these children and contribute good to their lives.
