vardaat!

Every so often, something happens which restores your faith in the police system in city. Well.. not ‘every’ so often.. but still it happens.

This is an eye witness account from last night. A guy pried open the door of a white Vitz, got in and tried starting it up. The car owner came around just then, saw what was happening, and started shouting. Thats when things got wild.

A couple of people, hearing the shouting, figured out what was happening, and tried stopping the Vitz from leaving by forming a human sheild in front of it. As expected, it didnt work, but it was amazing to see that… then, out of the blue, two policemen appeared. They took off their automatics, aimed for the tyres, and FIRED!!

I heard the guns go off about 3 to 5 times, i think the vitz was hit a couple of times too, but cant be sure.. The driver was apprently okay, he aligned the car with the main road, and sped off. Now usually, this is the end of such a scenario, especially in karachi, but no! The policemen was not to be stopped! they looked right… then left… spotted a taxi slowing nearby… stopped it, got in, and sped off after the stolen Vitz!!!

Such courage and valour shown in the line of duty by policemen in karachi! I wouldnt have believed it, had i not seen it with my own two eyes! The force does have some good people left in it yet.

What if I say that Both the policeman were accomplices of the Theif., and turned up to rescue him.

They could have fired ON aiming at driver as they usually do in such cases.

i would have to agree with jamal. our trigger happy police would never aim for the tyres. they only go for the head. these two characters were definitely accomplices.

The police were definitely trying to save the thief and get to him before anyone else could get to him and interrogate him since the police would have been found to have been accomplices then. Does

There are so many encounters going on since new ‘musheer -e- dakhla’ took charge but still cell phones and vehicle robberies are at large.
