Igloo’s Eid Flavor .

Everyone in our city is in the Eid mood, shops are brightly lit and glittering with the glass bangles, Eid cards, clothes and discount tags. People are busy buying gifts for their loved ones, girls are after outfits bright in color, glittering bangles and jewelry and kids are keeping their fingers crossed for the money they will soon be getting their hands on in the form of Eidee. To join all the celebrations of Eid Igloo has launched Kheer Icecream . The posters are around the city have Eid Mubarak written under them advertising their new flavor. A similar poster pasted on a small shop near my house caught my attention today, and much to my surprise the product was also readily available so I bought this Rs.125 Liter pack to give it a try.

The new flavor tastes just like another version of Kings Kulfa (or Shahi Kulfa) with a bit of Kheer like taste, the Icecream is rich and creamy and indeed worth buying and as a matter of fact I would prefer it over the Kulfa Ice cream my self, but would defiantly never prefer it over the real Kheer.

Well, I hate igloo too, all artificial flavors. No idea about the product mentioned, but I think either the Walls KULFA or the Igloo Kulfa, its really good. I have this 1.66 Liter Strawberry Cheesecake Icecream in my fridge which I got for $ 2.88 compared to that I think this ice cream is over-priced, but then so is everything else in our beloved hometown.

I thought one liter kulfa would be of 50 Rs. I remember the time when moven pick costed Rs. 100 per liter and it was a big thing.

Sounds like an awesome idea to me! More ice cream companies need to come out with flavors like Gulab Jamun, Ras Malai, Kheer etc. We need more traditional fare in innovative ways!
