Eidi Collection Drive – Day 1

I recently annouced a Eidi Collection drive started by a concerned group of people here in Karachi. Sadly, there was not much response. Its very depressing.. have we really forgotten?

Image147.jpgToday, we sat out for the first day at the PAF museum. Unaiza has captured the day quite well on her blog, so give it a read. Her determination and motivation for the cause is commendable. In the morning we setup banners at the drop point, and then spent the rest of the day, calling and smsing friends, family and others to create awareness. Tomorrow, the drive will also be covered by the Daily Times and the TV telethon on Indus TV network will begin.

At 8:30 today, we got our very first donation.
Its a small step, but a confirmed step! Inshallah, tomorrow, we’ll be looking for more. I once again appeal to my fellow citymen!! Open your hearts!

If anyone is willing to volunteer, please contact either me or unaiza asap. Your help would be highly appreciated.
