Talk of the town

Roads all dug up in the city, those that are not, make sure to let one have a roller coaster ride.

Another diversion observed at Hassan Square before SSGC’s building and it takes approximately 45 minutes to get out of the jam in peak hours.
Will this road construction take forever? Is there anything that can be done by us, the poor citizens?
Should we really start praying for Karachi to be the Capital city? (Having visited Isb and seen the not-at-all bumpy roads there)
Are we intending to move ahead or what??

You live in Karachi? If yes, Im astonished at you having no woes about the dug up roads and teh traffic jams.
In any case you have not gone through any such situation, try to reach Gulshan from the road heading from National Stadium towards Hasan Square and you will know what I mean by roads.

Unaiza, Haseeb was being ironic. What roads?! Meaning Karachi doesn’t have any roads left. They’re all dug up.

hehehhe! I’m sorry Haseeb, if that was the case :-) You can put it on the pathetic drive on these roads :-)
And thanks Kidal for the clarifications so required:-)
IllusionFS: you are so right:-) How would we feel driving on those roads if they are mended up nicely :-D Point to ponder!

Cmon yaar, atleast they are doing something….. albiet slow but imagine what it’d be like if all these projects wouldn’t have gotten the green light. Atleast now we can look forward to driving peacefully without getting stuck in traffic once all these underpasses and flyovers are completed.

    these things will take time
and theres nothin that can be done about that
i think another 2 years, we’ll have good roads.. ofcourse if it doesnt rain again =)

Sooban: You drive under the flyover and make a right turn…… also, there’s an underpass underneath the national stadium flyover which will take you from the aga khan road toward Dalmia road….

    yes for ur info !

the new diversion while coming to hasan sqaure from times medico.. .. ppl seem to follow the main flow that is they trun left at mashrique center n take the U turm from the first cut .. then baq to through the same way.. .

if u move further In ..u`ll C on the right a big ground. ( this is wht was previously the Water Hydrant) move right then u`ll find a road next to a small mosque .. this leads directly to civic center..

this route almost saved my ATleast 25 mins in the traffic jam at ssgc head office !
