The Story of A Dental Clinic.

http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/images/2006/11/dental-thumb.jpg
Dr. Mohammed Tahir, “Ortho & Prostho Dontist”, has been running this dental clinic alone for about two years. The name of the other two dental surgeons painted on the dental clinic have been there since the first day but they never showed up, I doubt they even exist. And Wait there is more weirdness attached to this clinic, yesterday I learned that Dr. Tahir also owns a Rickshaw which he drives when he is not at his clinic and he is also teaching rickshaw driving to one of his friend on saturday nights.

I don’t know may be it’s just me but I don’t want to enter this dental clinic even if they offer me a life time free treatment. Do you ?

Very Smart, to be honest the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council chooses to remain ignorant of these quacks, this is not one case but literally thousands littered across the country. PMDC is a corrupt organization embroiled in its own political struggle of power to worry about the actual issues.

These days the PMDC is after the upcoming medical universities (that’s where the bulk of the rishwat lies) and once a University satisfies its hunger it get approved as being fit for medical training. Honestly do a surprise unannounced visit to any of the so called approved universities there are massive short comings.

There are too many things that need to be changed, where do we start. It can only be done if people start believing in Pakistan. Otherwise we continue to ride along the path of “Live and let live”

True TM, there are thousands of quacks, not only dentists but general physicians and doctors who continue their business openly and no one touches them, some of these quacks even have hospitals.

The authorities know it’s their, every one knows. Sadly it’s the poor who pay the price.

Well this particular “Clinic” Is in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 2, Abid apartments.

I’m sorry I just can’t help myself …. the correct word is “there”, not “their”.

“There are too many things that need to be changed, where do we start. It can only be done if people start believing in Pakistan. Otherwise we continue to ride along the path of “Live and let live” -Teeth Doc

I seriously beg to differ. People believe in Pakistan already. Look at the posts and people around you. Everyone here and on the street is ready to die for Pakistan. It is Iman that we need. An Iman that prohibits lying, cheating, harrasing, bribery, gambling, drinking alcohol etc etc. An Iman that teaches to be righteous muslim. Think about it. If me and only me stop taking rishwat when it is most needed, how much I can change things just for the sake of Allah. If it is me and only me who sell the right drugs, even if it costs me more and gives me no profit, how much will it change the world that we live in.

The thing is that we have lost our values as true muslims. the islam that was taught to us by Rasool Allah (May Allah be pleased wit him) and his righteous companions. we are ready to do anything to get anything in this world. we are doing nothing to save our life hereafter.

JazakAllah khair for letting me express my opinion.

A dentist driving Rickshaws – there is something seriously wrong with this picture.

I always thought that Dentists make enough money that even their children have enjoy a work-free life.

How about a different perspective ???

These dentists have been in Saddar Area for a long time and they have been practicing for a very long time. How much time would it take to masters 32 teeths. They might not be very bright but I guess they know what are they doing. This is the ONLY reason of their existence that people who could _NOT_ afford visit them.

    PEOPLE –

try take a walk or move car at snails pace – on M. A Jinnah Road from Tibet centre signal towards radio pakistan, on right is Mama Parsi Girls school, ON LEFT is the pavment occupied by the MOST EXPERIENCED DENTAL SURGEONS of SINDH. I’m counting them 9 since past 20 years they are there since i was at DJ college., some got the ADDA as in-heritance but the name & foto is not changed. They move in & outta space but exist very much in visibility of NEEDY.

With little effort CHINESE DANDAN Saz can be located on Empress Market, they are in SHOPS 7 of them in a row next to Farzand Ali Kulfi wala.

PMDS, CPS Karachi – like Teetho said – They are corrupt to the core. Like any decision making place elsewhere in the country.
