    Theres one in Garden Area. It was the first Agha Khan Hospital made only for the women of Karachi because of the dearth of Maternity Hospitals back in the days.

    With all the cell phone snatching in Karachi you’d figure that atleast one of these criminals would steal Unaiza’s camera. Unaiza, can you tell us what your next post will be and what time you will visit said location? We’ll make sure to line up the appropriate resources to make sure that your camera ends up in good hands on ebay.

    This clinic is almost a year old and the only decent and professional place in clifton nd west defence for emergencies. The other place is park lane but its got a pathetic emergency and useless doctors.

    @KA & UNaiza

    South City hospital opposite BBQ tonite is much older and cater the locality since before the AKUH at clifton.

    AKU affiliated places are scattered around Karachi, – F.B Area Ayesha Manzil, Garden West, Liyari Near Sir Abdulla Haroon College, Malir Bara Board area – These units manage minor GP cases and handle Maternity / Gynea issues. Collection Centres are independent to these clinics.

    you seem to have lost in praising Karachi every now and then. I understand that you are a good writer but given the topics you chose to discuss give me reasons to belive that you have not completely out of Sophomore. please givs us a break and dont waste ours as well as yours pracius time by promoting Fayyaz ka Ugam Halwa to opening of new outlets in defence, clifton, zamzama.

    You and me are not custodian of these out lets who are making big chunk out of our pockets then why should we promote them.

    Please come up with some good ideas or topics to discuss. I hope you understand my point.

    there’s a spealist clinic of AKUH at Park Avenue, Sharah-e-Faisal. They’ve got a pharmacy and some docs, and a collectuion unit there.

    elidog: lol @ mobile snatching :-D

    k.a. & jamal: south city and park lane provide only one thing, fleecing the pocket!!! a visit to *any* doc there costs Rs. 600 just to show your face! and the meds they prescribe are wwwaayyyy to expensive!

    There are many collection centres. Then there is a maternity hospital at Aisha Manzil F.B. Area. They have diagnostic centres which come under Aga Khan Health Services. They have many agencies. FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance is one of them, the agency which helped alot during earthquake calamity.

    We live in a state where we HAVE to pay for what we need – even like drinking water, basic health,
    basic education, so it depends on the individuals and their choices.

    DOLE Banana was available Rs. 120 for 6 pcs One container sold out in 11 days of ramazn and Labense Apple for Rs. 600 / kg – One container sold old in 20 days of Ramzan. (one 20 foot container means 19000 Kilos of weight) no one complained of that – else complaining doctor fee! come on !
