Duniya Goal Hai

At the Kara Film Festival to watch An Inconvenient Truth, I stayed on to watch the screening of a movie directed by Imran Patel. The blurb on the festival pamphlets explained that the film was about one lower middle-class, unemployed man’s quest to obtain a US visa. The film tried to depict life in Karachi for the hundreds of thousands of unemployed fresh graduates and their ultimately losing struggle against anti-social forces. The movie was definitely not great cinema (less charitably, it wasn’t even decent cinema), but, at the very least, KMB readers who enjoy “Where in Karachi?” will have a good time figuring out the various locations in the film.

heh. very much in line with other films that try to ‘depict’ karachi. ‘khosla ka ghosla’ was a GOOD film, however. it is a must-see for every middle-class family in the subcontinent.

I also saw the movie, it was a great amatuer effort, the movie theme was good, but the dubbing was pretty bad. And mani dosnt make a very good negative character.
    Besides the movie was great.
