I spotted this product at Naheed today, From the house of Lipton an instant tea “Tea Latte”. Neatly packed in a pack of 10 and incredibly the whole pack costs Rs.50, which means you get a 150 ml cup of irresistible Doodh Pati instantly for just Rs.5.

The product is a must to try for every tea lover.

    @ Original-Anon.

You are probably right to some extent, but here in UK this term is referred for ‘Milk & coffee’ & not Tea.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latte

A latte is a type of coffee drink made with hot milk.

What in English-speaking countries is now called a latte would be referred to in Italy as “caff√® e latte” (commonly “caffelatte”), literally “coffee and milk”, similar to the French “caf√© au lait”.

from the above posts…it seems pakistanis are being creative/innovative …rather than copying western culture and jumping on the bandwagon. If they gave doodh patti a twist and gave it a universally understandable name, i think the effort should be lauded…
