From Dailytimes
Karachi Zebras will face Hyderabad Hawks in the opening match of the third Twenty20 Cup which explodes into action in Karachi from Thursday (today). National stars, representing 13 regional teams, will fight for top honours in the six-day event. Faisalabad Wolves won the inaugural Twenty20 Cup played in Lahore while Sialkot Stallions beat defending champions Faisalabad Wolves in the final of second Twenty20 Cup played in February-March this year in Karachi.

i wanna go to ths one sooo baddd… this should be made into a proper league with proper merchandising and sell it to the masses to keep them chatting about something other than politics and religion…

just like hockey or basketball or football (american) leagues here in north america

there is a lot of money ot be made and alot of positives to be gained out of 20/20

Wow great. And here is the best thing :
The winners of the championship will pick up a handsome amount of Rs 10,00,000 while runners-up will pocket Rs 500,000. The winners of each group match will receive Rs 15,000 and the losers Rs 10,000. The winners of the semi-final will get Rs 20,000 and the losers Rs 15,000 each. Man of the match in the final, man of the tournament, best batsman, best bowler, best wicket-keeper and best fielder will grab Rs 25,000 each.

Great for promotion. Hope they do similar events for other sports like Hockey, Squash, Snooker & specially football.

    Guys …word of caution……!
20/20 fixtures are different from international matches being held at NSK….security is far less (read absent), entry is absolutely free and resultantly much more rowdyism!

So dont go with the same frame of mind as if u are going to PAk-india or PAK-WI matches….coz in those matches security along with crowd is alot better!
Hopefully things will be different this time as inside news from ABN & PCB states that security presence will be increased to avoid previous year’s mistakes.

    @ MB

Shahid Afridi is going for Hajj, they made him captain without realizing this nor did they remove Inzi from Multan’s captaincy after his excuse to play in the season.

All others: This will be a great event just like the last one. Any idea who is sponsoring it?

Oh yeah ! Guys, Watch Shoaib Malik and Rana in action. This will worth the extra khuari of traffic jams expected. With no doubts, Asif will be the gem of the champinship. I just love him and its ‘official’.
