Eid jams….



Eid, like any holiday is generally a day of liberation from traffic jams or even congestions for that matter. There are, however, certain exceptions to this statement.

The images above are of Shahrah-e-Faisal, more precisely taken the road crossing at Awami Markaz.

Whats more interesting about these images, is that the one at the top, is the cause of the jam in the image below.

The jam was caused by cars, parked (yes, parked!) beyond all driving lanes at by intending worshippers at the mosque adjacent to it. While people prayed, many more waited for the road to open up as you can see from the second image.

Ironically, on an occasion that is the hallmark of selfless sacrifice in way of the Almighty, many of us hesitate to walk a few steps in order to get reach the mosque and have no qualms about causing disturbance to others.

Beautiful isnt it?
