Rain in Karachi

After 2 days of heavenly cloudy weather that Karachi is blessed with every now and then, it just started raining a while ago accompanied by huge gusts of wind. It lasted less than 5 minutes. A good thing, considering all the new underpasses that have been constructed.

What would it be like if the President coming in tomorrow to inaugurate some of them is met with waterlogged underpasses?

Update: It has been raining continuously in short spells. This obviously also means frequent power failures around the city.

It’s not just the new underpasses that are at risk from rain; the overhead flyovers are also vulnerable. I think that special duas should be said for no rain and dancing should be strictly banned in the city.

“and dancing should be strictly banned in the city.”

    DREAM ON.

and please tell me of these “special duas” for preventing rain, and please also tell me how banning dancing because its raining is going to make ANY DIFFERENCE to the fly overs?

think before posting instead of rushing to be a do goody good wet blanket!
