Happy Valenshtine

valentines.jpgIn typical Pakistani style I wish you a ‘Happy Valenshtine’ as literally from yesterday all red roses on sale in Karachi are in hot demand running a good Rs.300 a dozen and for the imported long stem roses can be bought for an approximate range of Rs.300 each. Restaurants all over the city have been running booked solid with the top few restaurants claiming an 18+ waiting list

I have reports that the rose market at TinHatti is selling local roses at Rs.200 so if anyone has the legs for a little drive you can scamper down that side of town to get a slightly better price, maybe a little cushion room for bargaining

Even the beggars on the street are scurrying around with a few roses hoping to get some alms in the process wishing each passer-by a Valenshtine greeting in his own funny style of his ‘tooti phuti english’.

All said Happy Valenshtine to all our readers.

Happy Valentine to you too, and to all KMB’s authors and readers, both here in Pakitan, and Abroad.

Remember, that it is always better to ‘Make love, then to make war’…….Cheers.

Why not wish it as “Happy St. Valentine’s Day”. It’s his day that we are calebrating, right. Most don’t even know who that Christian monk was.
