Super Eye : Imran Khan speaks on Pakistan Cricket

IK appeared in Super Eye (2 Videos) & discussed the on going issue. He criticize PCB more than Inzi & Co. According to him Inzi as a batsman & as a captain should be differentiated though not sparing Inzi for batting down the order too.

Regarding removal of players he said it’s not the solution (I personally agree). If the machine (structure & esp. domestic cricket) has a defect, no matter how great the input (talented player) is, the output won’t be as expected.

He rightly pointed out that Inzi & Syed Anwar’s individual brilliance was apart from the fractured setup of PCB & domestic cricket & this needs to be changed. Prayers along won’t do. We definitely need a davai with a dua.

He gave suggestions about what should be done if PCB really wants to restore its lost pride & on one occasion offered to provide a new constitution within half an hour (sarcastically refereeing to Naseem Ashraf asking for all the time in the world, commenting on ARY, to revamp the structure after coming back). He said he is willing to provide his assistance about basic setup.

Dragging politics he compared the current affairs in PCB with the gov., according to him both depicting same story i.e Ad hoc-ism where according to him a One Man Show is going instead of changing structure & institute. Callers had no sympathy too with everyone commenting in a disappointing tone.

Another great player left the cricket in pathetic fashion. Inzy’s stylish strokes will always be missed specially his delicate glances. His picture on cricinfo tells everything how he was feeling at that moment, quitting Cricket, tragic death of coach made thing very worst.

The way Inzy the legend quit is unacceptable for me. I wonder how long we would “tribute” our heroes in such an offensive manner?

  2. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 12:14 pm

    i agree with you Adnan.

it is sad indeed. but if he had quit sometime back then it would have been better. he should have quit after thhe tour of Indai which was a succesful one.

our people just wait to be kicked in the butt they can’t read the writing on the wall!

but i will miss him he gave us our happiest cricketing moments esp 1992 world cup, we should be greatfull:)))

The Indian press & everyone are laughing at pakistan and not letting any oppurtunity ob pak bashing go by!!

we’ll c what happens to them? how far they progress? i hope they get a sound beating from the lankans and go back home on the same flight as pakistanis. Just a prayer, nothing else:))

Imran Bhai, what took you so long to admit that Saeed Anwar was brilliant. During your captaincy, you tried your best to keep him out of the team. You preferred Ijaz Ahmed over Asif Mujataba, Rameez Raja over Saeed Anwar and destroyed the career of many talented youngsters. After your retirement, you used your influence to transfer captaincy from Javed Maiandad to Waseem Akram causing a drift in the team. You were a good cricketer but more than that, you were a true dictator. Shoaib Mohammed, Tauseef Ahmed, Zaheeb Abbas, Iqbal Qasim, you ousted them all. Saeed Anwar got the opportunity to play regularly ONLY because you were no longer in the team. My personal advice to you, quit hippocracy and be a man. Part of the reason why we are in deep shit is because of your discriminatory judgement during your era. BS karwalo in se..

    @Salman A.

    I totally agre with u….

Imran khan is the last person to give bhashan on dictatorships!! in dec,06 i went to a dinner and he was also there, i did not even go and meet him….everyone was around him and he was in his usual self …giving lectures:))

  9. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 6:40 pm

i lost respect for him looong time back!

can he just tell us y inthe world he had to marry Jamima?? would u believe him if he says that it was true love??

i still don’t get it? he choose to marry an immature girl just out of her teens, half her age….why? maybe he liked her lifestyle? Imran was rich but infront of her a begger:))

  10. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 6:50 pm

i remember when he was not a captain, he used to be injured most of the time esp. when he did not like his captain!

100 mouse khaa kay cat hujj ko chaleee!

    it fits him perfectly!

  11. Salman A. (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 6:59 pm

before marriage, he used to give this crap that he liked “Wadeeda Rehman” and would marry a girl having similar looks as her. also he misled our bechari showbiz girls of that time saying that he wanted to marry a “khatoon” close to his age and not any young “kuri”.. What a liar..

Gavaskar wrote in his book that Imaran Khan had sex appeal for women and Jamaima proved him right.. i think instead of wasting time in politics, he should try his luck in Bollywood.. LOL

  12. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 7:14 pm

i think Imran should get this in his head that people love him for what he achieved as a cricketer but know the nastier things he was involved in, as well and DO NOT trust him more than that!!! he was a real casanova!

the sooner he realizes it the better fo him…. otherwise we would be hearing the same bhashans from him 20 years from now, same as with the Asghar Khan and Nawabzada nasarullah who died a few years back.

but the above mentioned gentlemen had impecable integrity!!

i don’t think he can claim that!

he used to say the BB and Gunjaa were crooks…now look at his smiles when he meets them! and is all praise for the real leaders of awam!

so he should stop projecting himsel as the godsent saviour. we know who he is!

  13. sha (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 7:16 pm

Imran is absolutely spot on 110% agreed we need a strong domestics structure and elected board …not like that dictator appoint any retired General or buerocrate.

Imran is best captain ever in cricket world,no doubt he had personal like or dislikes in cricket like everyone has but you cant say anything about his commitment toward far as his political career is concern atleast he is not lotta, said what he think best for pakistan…if he would join pro-musharraf group then he could be easily become minister like other corrupt politican

  14. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 7:29 pm

can u refute what i have said in my pice above?. he used to call BB and Nawaz corrupt. now he is in bed with them. isn’t he??

he was a great captain, no doubt!!! but he was able to achieve what he did cu’s he had absolute power as a captain….even the cricket board could not stand in his way!. He is no angel and he should stop projecting himself as one! if he becomes a PM he would have to become a dictator to change this system! can he do it otherwise…if has to run to the parliament get everything approved!!??

his current political allies will become his enemies!

    @salam & F.Ahamed

so u guys want he shake hand with bloody Mushurraf, grab any Ministry ,start corruption ,make billions,Mushy might give him PCB chairmanship and live peacely ,mentality like hell to pakistan whoc cares then imran is acceptable to everyone.

we guys deserved to be ruled by ppl like mushy ,chaudary’s & MQM

  16. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 7:41 pm

the moral of the story is:

we all know what every one is doing or has one is pure… he should simply stop claiming to be an angel!

he shouts that the govt has raised the petrol price….just tell me if the oil price doubles in the int’l market what is the govt supposed to do?

will he cut the taxees the govt charges on petrol?? he should say that he will remove the govt duties/taxes on petrol when he comes in power and we will c what he does if he gets the chance!

in that case he will, from the same mouth say that the govt needs taxes for the betterment of the people and without taxes govt can’t do anything for the people!

we have seen it all before…..with other politicians

    sorry for the typing errors:)

  19. Salman A. (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 7:55 pm

he needs to keep his perosnal ego aside and compromise with musharraf in order to serve the country and in turn work for the poor masses who have the right to have a better life… Imran Khan is no ordinary person.. after all, he is the only person that Pakistan has been able to produce since its inception besides Z. A. Bhutto with such a fame and charisma .. but bigger position brings bigger responsibilities- IK needs to understand this..

Can some one stop this guy F. Ahmed ? He has pre conceived notations about every thing. How could he question why Imran married Jamaima ?? Was not Imran free in his choices ?? He can marry any one for any reason and no one should question it.

Please F. Ahmed , give us a break please. Do you want to go on vacations for a week ? I may donate some money just for that.

  21. sha (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 8:08 pm

    @ salman

    Compromise with Mushy

like patriot, chaudray,MQM,Shepao, functional did for vast intrest of people of pakistan.

  22. sha (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 8:23 pm

    @ F.ahmed

imran is always stick with his point insaf, justice to pakistan.he never compromise on that point.he joined ARD not to come in power,if he wants power than he can easily become lotta minister.

Fahad ,i know he ain’t worth it or he is any angel, nothing will change coz we are ‘behaz Qaum’,things will remian the same but atleast somone from politican talk against status quo

  23. Salman A. (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 9:21 pm

stick to his point to do what? what has he achieved so far? has he been able to give “INSAAF” to even a single individual by sitting in the opposition? No, absolutely NOT.. my friend, imran khan is more of a stubborn and arrogant than an INSAAF lover.. he will have to give up some of his negative characteristics if he is sincere to his cause..

To give an example which is shomehow related to this discussion, Iqbal was very Islamic but M.A. Jinnah was not but even then he convinced Jinnah to come back to India and take over Muslim League’s leadership.. Iqbal compromised on some of his principles because he was sincere to his cause, Pakistan.. yes, the great Allama Iqbal was loyal to his people and he proved it.. We all need to do the same.

dil dil Pakistan, jaan jaan Pakistan..

F.Ahmad and Salman A: Like Obi Wan Kenobi, I am also willing to donate generously to send you both to Guantanamo Bay, the place where people like you should be sent. I am sure there are plenty of others also willing to donate.

Its the results which matter and Imran Khan brought every single trophy out there in cricketing world to Pakistan. Do you know anyone even close to his record? What he does in his personal life in none of our business since we are talking cricket here. Unlike most others, he is not just criticising but actually presenting a workable plan which makes alot of sense.

Think 100 times before you open your mouth and talk shit!

  27. BoZz (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 11:26 pm

@ Obi Wan Kenobi – I concur. These same people, who throw blows at IK now, are the biggest hypocrites as these very people were sucking up to Imran Khan when he was in form.

But then it is our national character to kick someone when he is down.

As to them being personal to him, this shows a mind which is biased, racist, respect less, lacks brain and up-bringing. For the record our prophet married someone not half but one third his age. These voices of morality are morally bankrupt.

  28. Chi Pa Lee (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2007 @ 11:29 pm

I also totally agree with Imran Khan’s suggestion of bringing Aaqib Javed as one of the coach. Its about time we listen to people who have been there and done it and Aaqib has 2 under-19 world cups in his resume which he won as a coach.

And F. Ahmad: I just counted the number of comments you have posted here and in all of them talking shit against a national hero. I am convinced that you are suffering from a psychological dis-order and therefore I am also willing to donate generously to make sure that you get proper professional assistance. Who else is in for this noble cause? :)

@bozz: the type of words u are using reflect very much your upbringing!!! u are a lady and u use such a language……do u have any concept of honour/sharam…etc???

everyone can makeup their minds what kind of persons u r after reading ur disgraceful language! the same goes for CHI PA LEE.

U people claim to be cultured….everyone can makeup their own mind! have u ever heard something like respecting other people’s views!!. By the way IK is not talking as a cricketer now but as a politician and he will be judged acc to that criteria!!

We have a strong policy of not blocking any comment, unless it becomes too much or becomes spam.

Everyone is free to say whatever he/she wants to. Else the captain will send a “Freedom of speech note” to me. But also few comments are edited/removed with/without your knowledge when required.

But why not allow every one to read & see the reality about our readers instead of hiding it. Its up to the readers to avoid bad lingo. I request everyone to talk technically.

I have read everything from A to Z & the points regarding not bringing IK personal life here + the prophet himself marrying young lady etc. are all strong.

Its just that the part “sending to holiday’s bla bla ” was unrelated. Have some patience guys. How about a decent technical & to the post discussion?

Its better to call Meera rather Aqib Jawed. He’s the biggest retard who failed both on and off the field.

We should import another Gora Coach for Pakistani team. If not then Paksitanis should be sent to Australia to play with their club teams. Thhe Canadian Captaion Davison impressed me once again with his awesome performance. He used to play for one of Australian club team.

@ChipaLee: I think you are the one who’s using fake alias at the moment :-)

And I dont have to use fake nicks as speak of logic. MB: why dont you check IP from yesterday’s comments and you will find that choocha F. Imran Khan the great might be a good cricketer but politics is not for him. What he stands for?No agenda,no plans no party manifesto?one seat in National asssembley?Has not groomed any of his party leadership who we can name?He might do better to do charitable work like Abdul Sattar Edhi?

  46. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 25th, 2007 @ 10:28 am

    couldn’t agree more with u.

this blogg has turned out to be a trash can.

people attacking others on a personal level.

Can u kindly check my writing and tell me what i wrote that warranted these personal attacks by Bozz, Obi Wan.., Chi pa lee…

you said that we should not discuss the personal life of IK..etc. what about these personal attack on me!!?? you seem to stomach these very easily!

that retard was asking me what F stood for….mind u while u abuse me the word Ahmed stood for the name of the Holy Prophet! i leave the rest to Allah!

these people call themselves tollerant, moderates, farsighted, think of themsleves as intellectuals…..

i do not think what what type of families they belong to>? what type of grooming they got? we all can c it here!!

BoZZ and others attacking me are females…..just check the language they use against me an in their other writings…can we call them ladies?? certainly not!

this site is truly turning out to be a big trash can full of russish!

i discussed the fact that IK should be out of politics as he has no program to offer…etc i don’t know how these people got sooo pissed of by that?

  47. F. AHMED (unregistered) on March 25th, 2007 @ 10:48 am

just look at what Bozz and other people have to say to what i write on other topics on this bolgg!!

when ever i write something they make it a point to attack me personally, call me names…etc

    this what they stand for!

i just don’t know what i did that pissed Bozz and others so much that they have come down on me on such a personal level!!

It’s just a Disgrace to try to discuss anthing with such people!

iam pretty sure Bozz and others are using different Nicks to launch attacks on me!

it certainly shows what type of families they belong to, their mentality, upbringing, grooming…….shows their DNA!
