Go Aish – A thrill seekers paradise!

And this is not taken from the website. This comes to you from a very (read extremely) satisfied customer! Yesterday a bunch of us decided to go check out what this park was all about. So 7 people, loaded in two cars enterred the premises at around 5:30 PM. The first thing you notice is a lack of signs leading upto the adventure park. We noticed since we started making our way towards the safari park. only to realize we’re heading in the wrong way. After changing directions and walking for another 10 minutes, we finally entered the gates of Go Aish.

The first attraction which greets you is the high rope course and the wall climbing course. We tried out the high rope first. The first thing they do when you sign up (its 100 for the short one and 200 for the long one) is strap you up, and take you through a training course. That was a good thing, since it cleared up a lot of confusions, and made me aware the safety straps could support my weight. The trainers words are “you have to satisfy me that you know the drill before i let you go up there, otherwise you’re just going to remain here”. Cleared that in the first go, so that wasn’t much of a problem.

Once you get up there, that’s when the real trouble starts. I selected going on the long course (big mistake!! take the shorter one first a couple of times then try the longer one) and the first thing u do there is slide to the first pole. It took a minute before i could gather up the courage to do that, but boy was a i glad i did! the rush of gliding in mid air with nothing but a harness stopping you from falling is totally something else! All through the task, trainers were there with instructions of how to go about the course, and keeping an eye on you.

At this point i should mention that the course is not only for guys, and its not something girls cannot do. While i was up there there were two females attempting the course as well. Infact, they even have female trainers there on duty. Overall, the staff there appeared professionally trained with cool temperments bordering even on arrogant at times. If you realize they’re doing that for your safety, that’s when you start getting along with it.

I skipped out on the wall climbing and paint ball for this trip, making a note to try it on my next one. Wall climbing is Rs. 100 for going up once. Its about 20 feet or so high and not easy by any means. At all times, there are trainers holding on to you, so even if u let go of the rocks, you’re still in safe hands. Paint ball costs 200 per person with 10 bullets, and you can have additional bullets at Rs. 8 each. The trainer there suggested we take atleast 30 bullets (ofcourse he did) otherwise the course would finish too soon and we’d be left frustrated. To have a good half-hour to an hour of this exercise costs round about 400 per person then.

Last on our itenary were the dirt bikes. And they were the crowning glory of the experience. For 200, you get two rounds of the track, which lasts roughly about 2 minutes, but those two minutes on those machines are totally worth it. For beginners, the track can be rough, with the bike going in every direction but straight, and its a challenge to even get it to move. For the more experienced, the sheer trill of accelerating (and it accelerates fast!) the bike, jumping, skidding and literally leaving others to bite your dust is an experience of its own.

We ended up spending round about 3000 total in the park (took dirt bikes on twice!) and after the exercise decided it was defnitely worth the whole experience.

Finally, we have a place in karachi to go and have fun!

you missed out on the big swing man, if you got a rush out of the first slide on the long rope course, the big swing will give you a 10X the same rush.and there are chair lifts too people.plus the long course is more fun than the short one

Wow!!interesting, it seems that they are really working on international standards, as they are concerned about safety.

I think cost is irrelevant if you find this much of fun in the heart of our city.

I am excited to see it soon!!

    Cool man., Nice place

Please let me have your experience about paintball, as I heard it is very interesting..
