is cultural diversity truly celebrated! Where else can you go to a “Tribute to U2” concert and an “Amjad Fareed Sabri Qawali” night in a single weekend!
I love the cosmopolitan nature of this city!

Mansoor, who organised the U2 event?
Hey tell me more about the Tribute to U2?
who performed at the u2 event??
haha mansoor.. where else? New York, London, Toronto, Singapore and anywhere with a sizable desi population.
And chances are, instead of a U2 tribute, you’ll have the real thing playing live.
arsalan: it sponsored by Sony Erricson and some other corporate sponsors, dont know who organized it though, but i think it might’ve been them as well.
sufi & turab: it was interesting.. locals playing U2 songs. Everything was great except for the vocals :p the guy (Muhammad Usama) just didn’t do justice to either U2 or the crowd.
lies: well yea.. internationally ofcourse :p i meant in pakistan
Can someone explain this desi fascination with U2? I think they are an annoying and mediocre band. There was a time when U2 was good – but that time is long gone.
