‘Zara Nam Ho To Yeah Mitti..’
In a few hours from now, (Monday, 2nd May 2007 in US) Cavium Networks is going public on NASDAQ.
The IPO is valued more than half a billion dollar! And the guy behind the company’s foundation as well as current development is an NED University graduate. Reading the details of the event posted at an active and sentimental alumni community (Yahoo Group NED89), I just wondered how many of the Raghib Hussains produced every year in Pakistan go untapped.
Geo N.E.D.
the number of engineering schools in Bombay (just one city) is greater than the total number of engineering schools in entire Pakistan.
BS karwalo hamare leaders se, and that includes govt, army, mullahs, opposition, mqm, and everybody. shame on us.
Aray Salman Khan, khushi kay mauqay par gilay shikqay na karo bhai.
congrats to him, NED and Karachiites
I happen to know Raghib personally. He is a very modest and upright gentleman. Being in the Bay Area I see quite a few NED alums doing some great things here. NED can surely take pride in producing gems that I come across quite often. My younger brother is an NED alum as well and works at Mobilink in Karachi. I understand that NED’s contributions to Pakistan’s limited IT scene are well documented as well.
Go NED!

How come Raghib Hussains name is not mentioned on Cavium’s Website???
@Virk:
It’s here http://www.cavium.com/Team.html
good for Raghib Hussain that he is in USA, if he would have been Pakistan than he would probably be killed by any sacatarian outfit or in any bomb blast or picked up by some agency, that is what we do with our “rich brains”, shame on Pakistanis,shame on Pakistan,does some one remember what happened with Shaukat Raza Mirza MD of PSO and Dr.Safdar Zaidi…… and numereous doctors and engineers,dont forget what we did with AQ Khan.
congrats to NED…and to Raghib Hussain. The world is every bit as bad as you guys say it is but this guy lived in the same world and managed to succeed. Point to ponder.
