The govt gets taxes on the imported gensets as well as on the extra petrol/diesel imported to run these!
so i guess the PSO and other oild co’s won’t mind this!

thats ridiculous. we can spend this amount every year for importing generators, increasing fuel consumption (again taxed heavily) and continuously increasing trade deficit. but we have not bothered to increase production capacity. i guess policy makers are partying at night and sleeping in their offices during the day. it’s time they woke up!!

it’s plain and simple criminal reglect by the govt.! and no one is taking responsibility.
Busharraf has been in power for 8 years and there has been not a 1 MW increase in the production capacity of KESC in this period!
Not just the KESC but the entire national grid. There hasn’t been a single power station added to the national grid that was signed under the current ruling establishment.
You can not blame The president.He has been trying his best to build consensus on Kalabagh Dam and other such projects.If the people would have been wise enough not to politicised that issue and the timely construction of the dam had started i think these blackouts could be avoided.So you can not blame the leadership.Thar coal fired project has to materialise quickly now and so too other big hydal power projects.Use of alternate energy sources has to be promoted as these are best options for cheap,clean and quick way of generating electricity.I remember the ingenuity of the Kosovites during Bosnian war that how they assembled paddle wheel type of generators and put them in streams when much of the city grid was destroyed due to bombing.This is the sign of a self reliant and crafty nation and not like us for whom everything is matter of fun,baseless criticism and finger pointing.

i fail to understand why they’re not setting up not power plants.. Mush keeps bragging about billions he has in kitty but still they’re not spending it where they need to.. instead costly Gensets are being imported…
Kalabagh Dam hmm if the dictator can unilaterally bomb pakistanis in baluchistan and wana without consulting the legislators and lawmakers then he can definitely take this unpopular step as well

Why there has to be Kala Bagh Dam and nothing else. We are waiting for it to start for 30 years. Meanwhile can’t government start some other projects..but its busy organizing rallies.

TA;
Pls note that the muslim people of bosnia are called bosniaks who are form the same ethnic stock as the other bosnians.
Kossovites are mostly muslims and live kossovo and are ethnic albanians with a seperate language. they are the original inhabitants of this region whith a history dating back many thousand of years, whereas the serbs belong to the salvic race and moved into this region a few centuries after the deatht of christ!
