An eventful morning with a Cheerful end

After Mansoor’s post here, I thought I’d share an interesting incident.

Yesterday morning, as i got to office and was parking my car, I realized that I had forgotten my laptop at home. Naturally, without my laptop, I was as good as absent from office, so I had no option but to drive back from I.I. Chundrigar Road to Gulshan and get my laptop.

The traffic on the way back was scarce and I easily breezed through traffic and got home in 20 minutes. All the while, from Metropole to Hasan Square, there was a GEO TV Hiace van drafting behind me so close, I was afraid to apply brakes. The driver managed to stay at my back no matter how much I cut through traffic (Hats off to his driving).

He overtook me on Karsaz Road and stuck out a thumbs-up that wouldn’t go down!! I guess he kept that hand out for almost 3-4 minutes, till we had reached the stadium flyover signal, where I joined him at the red light. There also, he leaned out his window to appreciate the car and then stayed behind me till our departure at Hasan Square.

A journey that triggered frustration in the beginning, ended with a big grin on my face till the time I got back to office.

I love Karachiites!! :)

I enjoyed the story. Haters, not everything in life has a point. Somethings just are, such as Dick’s and Ned’s repeated postings, Vader’s language (he’s clearly on the dark side of the force), and Tamed~’s constipation (that boy likes to share).

    Cheers.

Sorry but had to delete the comments due to offensive language / inability to understand and appreciate the abstracts of life.

The idea of the post was to have a break from all the inelegant realities staring us and share a positive attitude.

I guess some people like to be ridiculed on the road rather than appreciated and spoken to in a friendly manner…..

Its important to share such incidents and to change mind-sets in general….There should not only be a category for such posts at KMB but maybe an entire community blog!!

Farrukh, you should not have deleted comments. You should have only mentioned that few comments are not upto the standard. We readers can make our mind ourself what is rude and what is not. Besides if you leave such comments then people would know what is unacceptable. Now I have no clue what was written here and I might say again that this post is ****. Regarding “inability to understand and appreciate the abstracts of life.” people have different views so let them express, if they can’t see the abstracts of life then it is okay.By the way, I also can’t see that. Does it make me small ??
