Nida And Anwer, Spellbinders At Gulmohar. combined art show of miniature paintings by Nida Bangash and Anwer Kashif opened yesterday at the Gulmohar Art Gallery.

The modern miniatures exhibited by Nida Bangash, heavily influenced by today’s world politics, are deeply inspiriting and makes this exhibition very interesting.

She stresses over the fact that guns, violence and war is dominating our Islamic art and culture promoting a totally different picture of Islam all over the world. Her paintings show a fear that soon Islamic art might loose it’s colors and beauty and war or violence may heavily influence it.

Her painting titled ” Down goes my history” , ” Yeah Kia ho Raha hae” and ” beyond projection” are stunningly creative art works. Her “such aur jhoot”, “Evolution ” And “I look at it this way” are also highly inspiring.

Miniatures by Anwer Kashif is a classic work in realism which shows his great skills and command on the medium.

Nida Bangash from Lahore and Anwer Kashif from Karachi have put up a wonderful show which is promised to deeply inspire any one who would visit Gulmohar Art Gallery till 28th Of May 2007. Gallery timings are from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
