Yes. And with things like Joost (and a few million city fiber miles later), we would be watching movies on our puters exactly when they are released by the box office! (See Joost impact on film industry here)

Apparently Shrek 3 is doing better business than Spiderman 3.

since you guys are talking movies has anyone seen the promo for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer the trailer is awesome especially when human torch goes after the silver surfer very nice cg done also the black spider suit looks very nice too but too many villians in a single movie you got Sandman, venom and green goblin

and abt joost wont it require a broadband connection the quality would simply suck on dialup

why do I bother to go near to my desktop or even open my laptop when there are mobiles with Flashlite technology which is efficient enough to run videos on mobile :-)

Verizon already teamedup with Youtube to show movies on mobiles and other small devices. Joost is really getting popularity and in presence of flash based tehnologies for video streaming on mobile, I am sure world would throw their TV’s out of window and would prefer to go for Internet TV.

Not a movie that ure likely to remember in a month.

Got boring even for the kids we had taken along.

There are just so many times you can recycle snow-white/sleeping beauty/ciderella etc etc.

Puss was still funny. Donkey was good too, irritating at times.

Those two’s are the only lines I remember & its only been a few hours.

Its good to see new movies coming to the screens. Ppl are starved for entertainment & its a win-win for everyone.

AHMED: No, the quality won’t suck on Dialup. The quality remains the same. It’s the download time that sucks on Dialup. It would take you days to download the full length movie. I have a 128k so-called broadband connection and hell it would take me a full day to download the movie so I can’t imagine how long it would take on a dial up connection.

Fantastic Four 2 looks realllyyy promising. Add the fact that you got Jessica Alba in it and it gets even hotter. Btw, TRANSFORMERS… that’s right, based on the cartoon we used to watch back in 80s is set to hit Cinema real soon (I believe some time in June?) That also looks very promising. Google it or check out YouTube and you’ll see the amazing trailer.

  19. Red_Munk!! (unregistered) on May 27th, 2007 @ 4:28 am

@ Samra: Its gonna be on for atleast a couplla months. You should be able to catch it after the exams.

No idea abt Spidey, try callin em up.

Uncle Adnan: It got shown @ Cannes a few days ago.

    World-wide release in 2 weeks (8th June).

Early buzz is good, I really enjoyed the first 2 & addition of Pacino should be fun.

Doubt it will come to Pak though.
