Major roads not blocked – Good job

I got a chance to drive through Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, and Sharae Faisal last night and I was surprised to see that most of the roads had minimum water accumulation. Last year things were quite different and it was impossible to drive on those roads. So whatever the authorties have done, it worked. At least we get to witness some evidence of their performance.

And by the way good post and the way this crisis was handeled is really credible

I respect Doctor’s freedom to post his/her comments, nothing personal, but writing facts & figures without any references/proofs just show how credible other comments would be. Past comments like “PEL meters are twice as fast”, “Bomb at Civic center”, etc.

u don’t really expect me to post interview of construction firm’s owner online just to convince you? these intolerant terrorist might get him killed instantly.. these terrorist can’t even tolerate harmless welfare organization like Edhi and terrorize their staff what else do you expect from them.. i won’t insist you to believe my words ,just ask some die hard MQM fan to verify that Nazim is indeed living in a recently renovated house..

secondly that PEL meter comment.. let me add something to it.. not just PEL meters but most of the new meters that are recently installed by KESC outside boundary wall are running faster then the previous meters..(1.5~2 times faster), KESC instead of doing a crackdown on kunda users thought of a novel idea to cut down losses.. by milking those consumers who were already paying their bills on time so they ordered faster meters from the manufacturers(PEL etc) .. either your not living in karachi or your meter wasn’t replaced with new meter and placed outside the boundarywall recently(mine was) or you are not at all aware of(or care for) the electricity units consumed in your house and your daddy pays all the bills…

lastly that hoax bomb call at civic center … if you’ve read that comment properly you must have seen that some one pasted a link about that news of hoax bomb call and i was merely reporting it.. and it was clearly mentioned later on that its hoax…

finally i don’t need your or any one else’s stamp of approval to authenticate my comments..

Slow down man..looks like you got hurt big time :).You still did not answer my question about Shoaib Khan, what do you say about that???

Doctor Wrote: “u don’t really expect me to post interview of construction firm’s owner online just to convince you? these intolerant terrorist might get him killed instantly..”

Man you really need some help. The way you put stuff against mqm is like the minute you say anything against mqm you are dead..wooo.. I wonder how come you and all others like you still alive in Karachi????you may say well nobody knows who you are right but what about others who live in Karachi and openly against MQM like workers of JI,PPP,ST,TI,Blaah blaah,,are still alive??? Ohh yeah I forgot they killing them one by one because can’t kill all of them at once..:)

You know what is the philosiphy of ppl like you,
    1. If anybody gets killed in Karachi and belongs to any other party other than mqm, then MQM is the one who killed him
    2. If Mqm humdard gets killed, then he was going to change his mind so they killed him
    3. If mqm workers get killed, then he wanted to leave MQM so they killed him

I am just wondering who are THEY?? If MQM workers are getting killed by MQM workers then who are those workers who killing other workers???

    4. If MQM is in opposition, then you ppl cry that MQM wants to break Pakistan, they are against the Army, the Country, they destroying the peace and all they want is Strike.Strike is not the solution,,GHareeb marta hai..OHH my GOD Evil ppl

    5. If MQM is in Government, then you ppl Cry they are with the dictator, Army unkai saath hai, Lets call a strike, burn karachi, shutdown….

I know Doctor very well. He used to hang out with Nasrullah shajji(JI’s leader in parliment) in Karachi university. I have seen him participating in clashes at Urdu science college and KU against Apmso. It was i guess 1998 when JI had a clash with APMSO and when worker of APMSO was hurt big time. Doctor was involved in that shooting incident and since then he has never come back to Urdu science to my best knowledge. I really dont want to release Doctor’s name in this forum because it will not be safe for him since Shajji is also looking for him because of some internal JI’s disputes…

@Imran “I am just wondering who are THEY??”

as far as “THEY” is concerned it could be the terrorist in cheif Altaf bhai who micro manages the party and can’t tolerate any dissenters in the party and at the slightest hint eliminates them brutally

those 5 points are really amusing and you seem to have answered some of `em your self..

  9. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 1:02 am

anyways as a MQM supporter you’d be better position to answer the “THEY” question…

  10. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 1:12 am

its really amusing when MQM workers start calling others of being a jamat islami supporter when ever their terrorism is exposed.. let me state clearly that i am not a jamat islami supporter if that makes you happy.. not only jamat islami but common karachiites are also affected by terrorist activities of MQM and so naturally they hate MQM but
MQM just considers every opposing voice to be that of jamat islami.. maybe they haunt you too much?

  11. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 1:15 am

and whenever it feels insecure or exposed then within no time MQM starts showing its true face just like it showed in the case of abusive wall chalking against Imran khan all over karachi

Dont worry man I am with you..Dont cry anymore plz..we depend on the information you provide us..actually we plan out daily work based on the natural truth you bring to us everyday and we try to stay away from mqm as much as possible just to make you happy because ppl like you are the one who can change things in Pakistan.if you run for the election we will vote for you..You are the bravest man on the earth I have ever encountered..Bravo keep bringing the truth otherwise we will keep living in the dark..Plz Doctor you are the hope of the nation…

  13. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 2:06 am

@Imran don’t get over excited.. Altaf bai might misunderstand things and consider you to be switching loyalties.. and you very well know how he treats dissenters.. ;)

Doctor, did you check the calibration of the electric meter yourself? I mean putting a load of 1KWh and checking the units on the meter? Or have you just compared your bills from old and new meters. May be your old meter was running slow. How come … because it is made up of wires and gears which can slow down over the years.

You also said, “some one pasted a link about that news of hoax bomb call and i was merely reporting it”. Spreading news without confirming them is not an appropriate behavior and you may already know the term used in Islam for that kind of a person.

  15. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 1:13 pm

@bluemax read that post again in which that hoax bomb call was mentioned it might clear things up for you, i merely reported about bomb threat which was made by unknown caller at civic center.. and that phone conversation actually took place. so why make a fuss out of it..

about the meters well actually i compared previously consumed units before change of meters and units consumed after the new

meters were installed.. my actual consumption is almost identical to what it was before the conversion but the unit consumed shown by new meter much higher then previous one…
and its not just me,its general public perception that new meters are faster as compared to old one..

Nazim Karachi have come up with new figure of number of dead during rain to 89, if his figures are to be believed then it means the all those hundreds of dead bodies were kidnapped by MQM’s armed terrorists during the armed holdup of Edhi morgue

yeah it was a good job done by CDGK. No traffic jams this time. but more rain is abt to come. Lets c how they cope with it.

There were quick solutions of digging the street so that water doesnt stay on the street. It really helped out but now they have closed those.

Moonsoon season is abt to begin and thuderstorms and expected. I hope we dont get electricity cut offs and traffic jams in out beloved city.

I dont like MQM but at least this time, they shud be appreciated for their better job. They shud repair the roads they have torn down [in order to get money from musharraf] quickly.

  19. d0ct0r (unregistered) on June 30th, 2007 @ 10:45 pm

money is not much of a problem for MQM they’ll be getting Rs 1 billion shortly… 200 million already been handed over to them..

Doctor… it seems like you depend wayyyyy too much on the Media! Dude, our Media is not far behind CNN and FOX. It’s all Biased. I agree, you should tone it down a bit! A tad!

  21. d0ct0r (unregistered) on July 1st, 2007 @ 3:26 pm

we often have to rely on media for news coz we don’t have reporters on ground to verify each and every news, and we have to your our own personal judgment and commonsense to filter out wrong news from right one… now for example if MQM’s terrorist start saying that 12May massacre didn’t took place at all and it was just a conspiracy by media to tarnish their image, then obviously nobody would believe their ridiculous statement coz the whole world have seen them killing innocent public.. similarly just today media is reporting that CM Baluchistan’s Plane skidded off the runway after its tyre busted and a near fatal accident was averted, now one have no reason to question the credibility of this news item.. even though one can’t personally verify it .. some times one have to rely on media for news..

I have read the comments but these couldn’t convince me for the MQM, the job (250 deaths) Nazim has done at the cost of billions, i can do it with no cost! Give me a try.

Every one is praising the MQM but not considering the figures MQM have handed over by the Federal Govt. If Naimatuallah had been given that amount and time it would have been totaly different positively. Any way every one has right to express him/her self so I.

During Naimatullah tenior the ratio was 80:20 (Approx), now its vice versa.

These roads are constructed after about 20 years of span, will these newly constructed roads long for next 10 years? If your answer is Yes then I appreciate MQM otherwise start condemning them.
