Online meal orders

Just in time for lunch

Pita Parker would deliver food to your doorstep by accepting online orders. Just pick what you want and fill out the form on their website. Next thing you know you are eating a delicious sandwich or salad. Easy na?

We have been using this in our office for a few days and it’s already a big hit.

Try it out, their prices are not that bad either, mainly because they are not brick and mortar shop.

Just ordered from them today (Garlic Chicken Giro and a slice of cheesecake). Ordering online was incredibly easy but the food got to me in TWO hours. Considering that my house is in Phase 2 and their office is in Phase 5, this was an unacceptable delay. To top that off, they sent me chocolate mousse instead of my cheesecake and the mousse had completely melted by the time it got to me.

That said, the giro was damn good and the melted mousse was also really tasty. So I guess I’ll be ordering from them again, but will call several hours in advance!

I don’t know where else to post this but here it goes:

In urdu, what are figs called?

Please no finger pointing or fun poking? It’s just that my urdu isn’t too top notch

It was good! I’d ordered the Basic Chicken thingum with a Greek salad and coke. I’m a fan of teriyaki (sp?) sauce and olives, so yeah, the entire meal was “finger-lickin’ good”! Absolutely worth Rs 150. Will order again tomorrow — but will make sure I place the order around midday, so I can get the food around lunch time. :P

Plus, they need to invest in a small fridge-thingum or insulated box for the delivery guys, coz everything was really REALLY *hot* by the time it got to me — good thing I hadn’t ordered dessert. :|

All in all, I’m really glad SOMEONE agreed to deliver in friggin’ Keamari! Even KFC refuses to deliver to my office! :-/

When you calculate you budget please make sure you add atleast 15% tip for the delivery person. They deserve it, it is IMPORTANT for you to keep in mind.

on the topic of online, does anyone know of a website in karachi that delivers unbranded desktop computer ? if not then does anyone know of a shop that sells good 2nd hand/brand new pcs, can anyone guide me on the price of both ( 2nd hand and new ) ? and provide me with the phone no.

  28. Zeeshan Syed (unregistered) on July 6th, 2007 @ 9:45 am

Scarlett Johansson: *I WISH* There is no specific cost of a used PC. It depends on the kind of computer you require. How fast it should be, storage, memory… that kinda stuff :) I hope it helps

  29. scarlett (unregistered) on July 6th, 2007 @ 11:21 am

hi zeeshan, thanks for the website but i believe they have all the branded stuff on that one. I am looking for a pentium III with 40GB,512MB a sound card,dvd/cd player along with a monitor. I have heard brand new unbranded pcs come quite cheap, does it sound okay to expect the price range to be b/w 6-8k with the above mentioned features ? looking forward to getting some more help.
PS btw its scarlett o hara not SJ !

I love their food too! About the expanding thing….they’re working on it but you guys should know that Pita Parker (the whole restaurant) consists of one delivery guy, one manager, and one cook who used to work in PC. Considering these circumstances they’re doing a brilliant job.

  33. scarlett (unregistered) on July 6th, 2007 @ 10:22 pm

hi inspirex, thanks for the site, this looks really good, do u think the used pcs are priced reasonably ? I have never bought a second hand pc so I am not sure if they are durable also do these ppl have a lot of profit margin ? do u think somebody else would be selling these for lesser ?

  34. ShahidnUSA (unregistered) on July 7th, 2007 @ 2:32 am

Poor guy needs a PC. Somebody should help.PCs are great source of education (minus the crap I do on it)Here in America I see PCs and monitors on the street waiting as trash to be picked up (might have viruses in them) but they are manufactured in abundance. If you buy old pc would have less memory and less features and would be slow in performance.Try buying on credit. Its a good investment.
