Love-Hate Relationship

There are some people who love this city, and some who hate it beyond words. They all have their own reasons, and all of them are right in their own perspective. Read this article for details.

As for me, there are some things I really love about the city, and then there are a few I totally hate. For example, I really love the fact that food tastes a lot better here than most other places, and you usually find someone to help you out when you are in trouble. But I hate it when I am stuck in traffic for hours, or when I have to spend the night without power, or when I am scared to use my mobile phone on the streets. So I am not head-over-heels in love with Karachi, as I know the city has its problems, some of them are quite serious. But at the same time I don’t outrageously loath being here, since it is, after all, home.

Karachi is very little tourist oriented
if you have someone coming from abroad to you you cant take them anywhere historical or fun oriented
btw does the suggest a story link works cuz i had one story
in case it doesnt ill post it again here(another of my kind favors!)

    hi there!
I have a foreign friend who have flown in from the united states. He is a Duke university fellow and before coming to pakistan through wahgah he had his stay in Dehli, Amritsar and Srinagar.
He is at my house till Wednesday and has come to karachi to attend my cousins wedding who was his class fellow at Duke.
I am left with the job of guiding him through Karachi. I want him to meet people here with insight and calibre as well as see Karachi as we do.
He isnt at all prejudiced and remarkably thinks that karachi is way cleaner and has fewer powercuts than in India.
I want suggestions from you people regarding places with something to do with history, hanging out and food.
I woluld also be very happy if people like Jamesh or the good dentist will like to meet him.
afterall he is an ambassador to us and we have a great opportunity of showing people in the US who we are!

    thanks alot both of you!!
and some updates too:yesterday i took him to the port through MA jinnah road going through many old buildings and jinnahs mazaar.I then headed towards boat basin and stopped at first the usman mosque next to mcsonalds sea view.It was all hell crowded with alot of beggers:sunday was a bad day
We then headed towards park towers but again the crowd!Khair I went to the less crowded place at the kfc drive thru and had a zinger extreme: he loved the halal food.
It was very aqalmand of him to compare us to India or China(his home country) rather than the US.
