Authorizing the Wrong?

wrong.jpgThis is the traffic signal site that hosts the end of Korangi Expressway, Causeway road and the last part of the Baloch Colony. Every morning, the impatient motorcyclists would spill over from their Causeway road just before the petrol pump and would drive full wrong way daring the traffic flow coming from Baloch Colony bridge towards Defense on the Korangi Expressway. Like everywhere else, it is common to observe traffic policemen join the wrong-way crowd without a spot of shame.

This morning, it was interesting to note that probably giving in to the consistency of the wrong-way crowd, the police has actually placed traffic cones along the spill-over spot up to the signal spot authorizing and institutionalizing the dangerous and unlawful practice.

In cowasjee language this is ” if you cannot stop something wrong, change the law & make it legal so its no more wrong”. He used to say this when Sindh gov started legalizing illegal buildings during Nawaz, Benazir times (& its still continuing).

I guess the poor policemen are just following their masters. At least they bothered to notice.

i think it was a wise thing to do. it makes the idiots who come the wrong way, safe.

on the other hand the road is too narrow at that point for people comming from the direction of these motercycles, it should be adjusted.

i must commend the police of at least thinking about the safety of people:))we are not used to this much police efficiency.
