Petrol Stike – Postponed

So much for ‘firm action’ against the govt. The chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) chairman Abdul Sami Khan said the association had decided to postpone the strike, after the Sindh Governor talked to him and promised to resolve the issue. The result was that many pumps were still open the next day shelling out both petrol and CNG.

However, as is normal with such incidents, it is the poor customer who is made to suffer, be it the 50 paisa ‘cover charge’ by the CNG stations illegaly raising the price of CNG from Rs. 33 to Rs. 33.50 or the newly made threat by the PPDA chairman “to charge 39 paisa per litre as service charge from consumers if the demand was not met.”

Will we ever learn? I dont think so…

it was just karachi specific strike only i think coz
no strike was reported from other parts of the country.. only karachi dealer seems to be worried about their commission decreasing

I hope you are not implying that these petrol pumps are owned by MQM/MQM supporters :)

@Ms maybe the dealers here have extra overheads like paying batha(extortion money) to their MQM’s area unit office

btw i wasn’t implying abt MQM’s connection.. i was just saying that these dealers are not united and government can easily fail their strike by running company operated pumps and other alternate measures..

i knew a person who sold his brain to get the doctrate degree, are you the same person, if yes than please buy back your BRAIN,cuz soon govt. gonna start a compaign to put all those mindless ppl behind the bars along with the street dogs.

Though ANIMAL RIGHTS activists have serious concerns over this compaign, they say dogs dont desrve to get locked up with the MINDLESS PPL, after all DOGS ARE THE MOST INTELLIGENT animals on this earth.
