Cartoon Controversy Begins Again

Who said cartoon’s are not violent?

Add a muslim in the mix and the things can be deadly. Less than a year after the first controversy regarding the cartoons printed in the danish newspaper, a group of 20 decide to revive the ‘spirit’ by demonstrating over another sketch appearing in a danish newspaper a week ago.

The protesters in the city of Karachi gathered outside the press club,
a traditional venue for demonstrations, and chanted slogans and burnt
an effigy, witnesses said.

Funny thing is, the “small protest” was picked up by the Indian branch of the Reuters service! Media slandering at its very best!

    Just ignore those newspapers.

They try to get cheap publicity.

    Delete this post as well.

Truly brilliant! Leave it to our fanatics to make a fuss of a dead issue and give our rivals an opportunity to use it to degrade us further

Its definitely important to put our house in order until then we should be ready for such aTtacks by our enemies using such information to further their goals

Firstly the sketch was not danish… was in a Swedish newspaper…

And it is our duty as Muslims to respond to such attacks…
@Maestro : Kindly update the information that you carry…the ‘fanatics’ are not making a fuss out of a dead issue…this was done a week back…
@All my fellow moderates (Liberals) : Would you be kind enough to atleast express resentment towards these horrific actions by the Europeans before pointing fingers at your own brothers…those who you so proudly have marked as ‘fanatics’.

To your satisfaction and assurance we strongly condemn Europeans for all their acts of inciting religious anger among Ummah but having said this, here is another side of story.

Slaves never “respond to attacks”, the only obey. So before acting like cartoons themselves this Ummah should shut up, get itself at par with WEST and then dream about responding.

All Muslim gov’s , top ones for that matter (Saudia, PAK, ARAB countries ETC) lick WESTern balls day and night and you talk about responding ?

Heck what crowns we have become. I feel pity on this Ummah crap seriously. Its like a baby asking for a feeder and at the same time accusing the provider.

Only IRAN and Malaysia are the countries who sound reasonable when they talk about responding.

We keep on burning our own property and do protest but WEST doesn’t give a shit to that. If people are serious in a respond they should force the gov. the reply officially or else we better stop bashing about nothing in air.

Awab, I laughed at your definition of “fanatics”. It’s not less lame than Bush’s definition of “terrorism”. keep it up bro!

Mb, what’s wrong in protesting outside of pres club and burning effigy?

Why you guys didn’t come out with terms like fanatics and other when everyone in black coat was protesting out of Press club? At that time it was called a democratic move. MB was so pumped up that he had invaded this blog with his rants. Awab was not getting tired of praising black coats. Now when someone else doing same so it’s being called fanatical move and they are being criticized. How hypocrite you guys are!.

Also, Mansoor again demonstrated his ignorance when he referred danish cartoons. Recently they appeared in Swedish papers NOT danish and the cartoon was different and more offensive. Imagine if someone make sketches of your parents as DOG? how you enlightened souls would feel?

You enlightened souls, if you get time to promote your army fraternity and CJ case respectively then you would find that lots of things happening out of Pakistan. Don’t demo your ignorance if you are not aware of something.

    Also, author said:

Add a muslim in the mix and the things can be deadly

Kid, how much do you know about things happening around? Come out of your frikkin Army mess. Recently the abortion case , how christians retaliate fanatically was not a hidden secret. Just read papers Damnit! read how they burnt hospitals. Jut read the history of 5-6 centuries ago that how christians and jews used to protest that time which is not different today muslims have been doing. At that time they were being suppressed and now muslims. The difference is those who were suppressed that time are using same tactics against Muslims and our ignorant enlightened and so called educated muslims are becoming their victim. SHame on all of you!

MB – I’m glad you understand well how hypocritical we Muslims are today as an Ummah…
but yet again you continue to carry emotional thoughts and point fingers at our leaders for licking western balls…and what about the exponential growth in the Liberals…are they not doing the same.
Look all i’m saying is stop blaming others and for once look into your own collars. What have we done to bring a difference?…Has anyone of us educated individuals went out to the illiterate maulvis, who encourage killing and burning restaurants for cartoons published in Europe, and had dialogue with them? help them think rationally by proving to them through Quranic verses and hadith that what they’re doing is wrong. The easiest thing to do is to point fingers at others. And the most difficult is to act for the betterment of those around you. Kindly refrain from taking this personally but this is for all of us…I’m tired of people complaining about fanatics, extremists and corrupt governments. It is high time that we gain knowledge so that we may be able to have dialogues with them and clear all misconceptions.
And yes by “respond” I did not suggest killing and burning of restaurants or declaring war on Sweden :P. Right now we can simply speak against it. But please stop blaming your own brothers and try to fix things around you!

We shud raise this issue as indians and christians do it. They raise such issues to sky height.

@Adnan, no one has time to read true history. All they read is some english historians who alwasy have portayed muslims are robers and looters. they read “stainly lan pool” , “gibn” etc (opoligize for my typo), but they dont have time to read ” Nawab Zul Qadr Jang”, “Tibri” etc etc.

I was in Pakistan recently and witnessed the entire Lal Masjid soap opera. What I found rather interesting was that many of the people I talked to were more concerned about the image of Pakistan abroad rather than how the crisis would effect the country. Some proposed banning international coverage so the dirty laundry would remain hidden.

And now, instead of condemning the Swedish cartoons (and any subsequent violent protests), the commentators on this blog are once again more concerned about how this would effect the image of the country.

    Just an observation.

Speaking of Goog image, I am not in US or UK that I can claim that I personally meet americans, christians, jews etc but since this is era of social networking systems and communities, I often communicate with Christians, jews in other parts of the world who belong to my fraternity(I.T). They laugh on the actions of our enlightened president Musharraf that how that desi hitler is busy in killing his own people just to please people who have been feeding him for 8 long years. Don’t you remember how American papers made cartoon of Musharraf as Bush’s dog which later Bush’s administration tried to please Mush and Co by saying that dog is a faithful and loving soul for Americans that’s why they sketched Musharraf as Dog. This shows enough what kinda “Image” these enlightened souls have developed out side of Pakistan. Their hatred for Talibans or people who are inclined towards religion is not recently discovered thing. They have been doing for centuries which increased more after the prophet hood status of Muhammad(Saw). So naturally they would oppose or abuse anyone who raise voice against their dream of “Holy Land” or criticize teachings of Paul.

their popes used to do nuns in the past
those who point fingers on mullahs, shud read that first.

nuns were supposed to be pious but those wicked popes have used them to satisfy their own.

Also, the christian girls were used to trap muslims by offering their selves.

We still love that slick culture, dont we?

I think such kind of moves by West are good for Muslims. No, don’t take me wrong. I am not saying that it’s good to offend Prophet(saw) or Islam by coming up things like war on terror, anti-Mullah/madarassah. The reason I said it good because:

1)it works like an “electric shock” and it forced muslims to get back to their religion and study it to find out what actually was said by Islam and what’s being promoted by west.

2)It works like a filter which filter out residue from Muslim world in the form of Liberal and secular fanatics and extreme right religious zealots who used religion to fill their own satisfaction and pocket.

The 2nd point is more helpful for us since it helped to find out enemy within. Many such elements are visible on this forum as well which others experience daily. So I think further severe shocks are required to fix muslims and separate residue from the muslim world.

Hey, you guys are having too much fun while I am away.

I believe you don’t need any weapons to destroy Muslims. You just need some stupid cartoonists.

For every cartoon, Muslims will destroy their banks, post offices, transport system, become more fanatics, stay away from science and technology, and so on.
More cartoons, more destruction of Muslims.

  17. Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on September 3rd, 2007 @ 12:44 am

hey alam, how your balam came in middle while I was talking about Muslims?

I was talking about people like me who were pretty ignorant about Islam before 9/11 and had never bothered to read Quran with translation. Even didn’t bother to read Arabic quran for more than 10 years.

  18. IUnknown (unregistered) on September 3rd, 2007 @ 3:00 pm

@balma, its not the muslims who destroy banks and sstuff, its thte ppl like u disguise their selves like muslims and perform the destructive stuff, by intermixing which peace full protestors.

Surely, we can catch them, but the problem is that such kinda ppl are supported by governor house or president house.
