The mall under construction mall is under constructions right next to awami markaz. Previously, the land was being used as a parking for awami markaz. Life was good.

Ever since the construction of the mall started, parking is a menace at the site. What scares me the most is that there is no evidence of a dedicated parking for the mall. Once completed, where will the vehicles park?

This is an issue regardless of where a building is being constructed. To generate the maximum amount of revenue, companies try and get away with as little space for parking as possible.

However, it is the job of the local government to challenge the construction companies. So, this an issue that the local governing party (MQM) should solve.

When it was under construction i saw that that had a huge hole dug up for basement (probably two floors in the basement) so thats where the parking should be, besides, i’ve also heard that behind this new building, there still is parking for Awami Markaz, you just have to go thru the narrow alley between the two all the way to the back.

imagine the service road….. & Cantoment board faisal making money from Parked cars, near by KWSB vacant plots (the demolished lawns) will be used as parking space,

by 2015 Shahrea faisal stretch between Karsaz & Metropole will be as chaotice as like MA Jinnah road length between tyre market and tower.

well, buildings with no parking space for cars are very common in Dubai/Sharjah. sometimes it can take uoto 20-30 minutes just to find parking for my care when i come back home.

even in City centre and other big dubai shopping centres it could easily take more then 30 minutes to find parking space on weekends! and these big dubai shopping centres have car parkings for many thousand of cars.

i have gone back from city centre duabi many times after not finding a space for car parking.

Mall of the emirates has space for i think more then 6-7 thousand cars but it can take more then 20 minutes on weekend to find space.

it’s not a pakistan specific problem only!
