At a stand still..

In yet another political circus, we witness how for the ruling classes one individual’s arrival to Pakistan is far more significant than the daily lives of a greater part of a population of 12 million citizens.

Schools and universities are closed. A large majority of the working class has chosen to stay at home. Both domestic and international flights have been canceled. In short, an entire city has been forced to halt all its activities to welcome an allegedly corrupt former Prime Minister.

What, then, I find hilarious is when the politicians on TV talk about ‘mobilizing the public’ (awam sarkon pe aaey gi). What awam? What public? The real public is trapped inside their homes. If they had any say in the matter, they’d have made sure Benazir never came to Karachi. The people that can be seen waiting to welcome BB all over Shahrah e Faisal are political workers that have gathered from all over the country.

So, with nothing better to do, watching TV to see how the circus is progressing is the only option. Some news channel just reported that her many supporters have broken past the security barriers. Her flight is expected to land at 1.45 and now the whole city is expected to come under siege when her party workers along with other supporters(bought and otherwise) will travel to the Quaid’s Mausoleum at M. A. Jinnah Road before she goes on to her residence at Bilawal House. She is expected to stay in Karachi for 2 days.

For updates on what roads are safe for the public to use, FM 107 is providing updates from time to time. The brave few who have dared to venture out of doors to go to work etc are advised to tune in for traffic updates before they decide to leave for home.

Sid you are 100% right. Unfortunately the awaam are as much to be blamed for the mess as the leadership.

I fully agree to HASSAN NISAR views. Our awaam is itself the culprit.

Circus. Crackpot. Media blitz. Tamasha hai bewafa. And more so.

Where is the bloody MQM? Why are they now silent when their greatest enemy is passing through “their” city. Why can’t they do something about this mess. Because they have been ordered not to do so by British govt. And now Brits say they did not do any mending work.

But BB is here to stay. We know she is carrying US agenda. And she is confirmed American agent. Just read her statements. I will allow inspectors to question Mr. Abdul Qadeer (why?); I might allow Americans to strike inside Pakistan, Osama bhai is found inside (who is she to rock Pakistan’s self respect???).

Where are the PPP and MQM thugs? Answer.

    Daughter of Corruption returns home

Finally, the countless visits to “White House” is paid off. Eight years with no good income and especially, when Bilawal is going to Oxford University. Do you think is time to spend 16 Billion dollars in reserve.

Don’t tell me people of Pakistan are blind and had gold-fish memory. Read following comment that made by Azad Bhatti, a 35-year-old poultry farmer from the southern city of Hyderabad:

“When Benazir Bhutto is in power there is no bomb blast because she provides jobs and there is no frustration among the people,” he said. “whatever she thinks is for the betterment of the people.”

MQM spoons wont speak now AMEER, because they konw MQM has been given a BIG DUNDA by ARMY to shut its mouth up. Its a mafia which will do whats good for its survival and not for people.

While the country plunges to poverty deeper our media needs to highlight important issues along with these events.

“MQM spoons wont speak now AMEER, because they konw MQM has been given a BIG DUNDA by ARMY to shut its mouth up”

MBG what is your problem man. When mqm did not allowed jokers to use karachi for their political circus on May 12th,then you were all saying that mqm thugs thinks that the city belongs to them and no other political party can do anything in karachi. MQM is responsible for the killings and mqm this and MQM that…Now MQM learned the lesson from the mistake they made on may 12th and letting PPP do whatever they want to do in the city you have the problem with that tooo……
Tell me what exactly you want?>????
Do you want MQM to clash with PPP and not allow any political party to hold rally in karachi and repeat whatever happend on May 12th???
Do you want to have peace in the city and have MQM not interept rallies of other parties???????/

Please decide what you want MQM to do and I will let them know that MB would like this to happen this time………….

I see you being quite pissed off but thats okay. People who are pro-MQM have a short temper. Besides MQM runs on a MAFIA system.

Anyways, let me answer few of your points:-

“When mqm did not allowed jokers to use karachi for their political circus on May 12th ”
So you admit that MQM butchered 40-50 people to stop the jokers? Well done fellow. I admire your logic. And who gave MQM this right to stop any party from doing a rally or some jalsa/julus ?

“Now MQM learned the lesson from the mistake “……..
Thats a really bad joke you came up with, didn’t you?

A party who purposefully advocates/perpetuates/finances/training/participate in terrorist activities like any mafia or fascist group has suddenly decided to be so sweets to its enemy.

You are so innocent my fellow. Its actually the LONG STICK from ARMY which has told it to stay away from any mess brother. The goverment in ISLAMABAD has crafted this stage drama to perfection to make sure an environment is created for MQM+PPP marriage later. The guy who won two third majority in 1997 elections MR. EMPTY HEAD SHARIF, he was even able to bring few thousand in his home province. WHy ? Because our ARMY decided so, dont you see the writing on the wall man?

Please decide what you want MQM to do ”
Well i am no one to decide but you asked it so here it is:
MQM ( or PPP or any other party)

    1. Clean themselves from thugs, terrorist, selfish evils we are sick and tired of
    2. Bring an ALIEN commodity called DEMOCRACY in their parties. There is not a single democratic (or secular) political party in real meaning in this country.
    3. Fight on their agenda and manifesto and not the SHIT WARDI, KURSI,PMshit at the cost of this country’s future.
    4. COnsider education/heatlth/service/employement/just economic system & most importantly JUSTICE as priorities instead of licking GHQ grass to scuceed.
    5. Stop acting like this country is their family property
    6. Stop raping public MONEY.

want me to go on ?

PPP and MQM both had enough opportunites in past and they have failed. The the irony is they are not willing to step aside and let the NEW leadership come. The morons like ALTAF,NAWAZ and BENAZIR (add mush now too ) are just repeating the dramas they used to do always. who the F*** CARES ABOUT wardi, NRO and the CRAP. Your MQM supports NRO according to which an ordinary man stealing 100 rupee note will rust behind bars while the muderers of MQM, billion-thieves of PPP will be set free. This nation is sick and tired of all of these parties. People are dying of hunger and our leadership doesn’t give a shit about it. What we need is something like this:-

MR. EMPTY HEAD SHARIF, he was NOT** even able

How stupid, pathetic and selfish our educated class can get. No regards to the aspirations of millions of people who in their mind at least came because they wish for a better life. But here our middle class is complaining about some inconvience. I would have not mind at all if you had attacked BB personaly. I dont have any hopes in her. But to condemn a political process itself is just too pathetic and charechteristic of our educated class. God help us.

  15. Babar (unregistered) on October 19th, 2007 @ 5:10 am

And my salute to MB. So we should be thankful to mullahs and military for what little they have been doing to save our god forsaken country from the stupid awam.
Why pretend to support damocracy. Dictatorship is clearly favoured by our educated class.
