Linux Ads should be on Mercedes or this phateechar?
Sameer (unregistered) on October 27th, 2007 @ 4:49 am
He should probably leave his doors unlocked so people could modify it for themselves. Open source *cough*.
Kar-Acchi Battian (unregistered) on October 27th, 2007 @ 5:04 am
I see the front door glasses down. So, it is *open source* already. Only the front passenger seat as a nice headrest cover (undone by somebody else). People have been modifying it to suit their own comfort.
Judging by DMC sticker on the back window, the guy seems to have changed career path from “Open Heart” to “Open Source”.

Cheapo non-radial tyres.
No tail lights at all. At least brake lights should be present.
Damn small linux LOLz.
And stickers on windows are a hindrance to the driver. They should not be there.

Wasiq, as my peer said once on a forum:
Linux is a communist operating systems and Windows is a capitalistic operating system. That is, Windows exist specifically to make money, Linux exists to free humanity from its dependency upon greed and corporate manipulation.

Ubuntu? Easy to use? am i dreaming or what.
FYI we dont have windows in my office and ubuntu everywhere. First thing that went wrong was i mistakenly changed user rights of a folder, and what u knw, half of administrative tools stopped working.
Also, u can’t even format ur USB drive from UBUNTU aarghh!. Also it took me 3 weeks to find a compatible driver for VGA of my intel board (with Core2Duo processors), before that i was working in 800*600 res (yuck!). also sometimes even Ctrl+C doesn’t work. and the list goes on.

Ironically an Author(MB) himself violating rules by making off topic comments.
Umar, as I told you earlier, EDUCATE YOUR own authors first then come out and preach others
and MB $$$$$$, that was not urdu wala PEER.
Tariq Khanani, I have used Ubuntu for personal desktops and it worked fine. NO idea how does it behave for an enterprise. Ubuntu is somewhat different than other distros as unlike other distros, Ubuntu doesn’t enable root user as default and give administrative rights to user which is defined during Installation.
Tariq Khanani (unregistered) on October 29th, 2007 @ 9:42 am
@Adnan
my point exactly, ubuntu has based everything on user rights, so its easy for a user to mess things up in an irreversible way.
Another reason of difficulty in linux adaptibility is, most alternate of windows software available are not well written and sometimes buggy.
e.g. u prepare an excel sheet in MS office with full formatting and shashkay, but when u open the same in open office……….u find out its all screwed up.
Adnan Siddiqi (unregistered) on October 29th, 2007 @ 11:12 am
@TK: because MS usually follow their own standards rather those based on international comittie. There is a tussle going on these days between OpenSource and MS about OOXML specs.

According to his AD, this is to attract new PANCHEE who want to learn linux as a beginner, he should learn it like driving in FX.
