Abdul Sattar Edhi not allowed to vote

Abdul Sattar Edhi while talking to GEO on security situation, when inquired about if he went to vote said that when he reached there he found that his name was not in the voters list. He inquired the officer about it & instead of replying him properly he was asked stupid questions like aap toh ab American citizen hain bla bla. . . .Edhi told GEO that he came back finally with his efforts in vain and without voting.

If this is the case with the pride of nation and the greatest of humanitarian then we can well understand the level of integrity on today’s election. Free & Fair elections . . . my BIG foot.[ Related : Abdul Sattar Edhi ]

Being pride of the nation does not give him an automatic right to vote. Do you know if he (or his family members) filled the voter registration form distributed by EC about an year ago?

Yeah right !! he is a kid, he is an idiot who went there sleeping as if he doesn’t know

Sitting in the comforts of your abode and commenting about the fairness of the elections is a Big Joke! There is a process through which you include your name in the voter’s list which is used by the polling agents on the election day. I have casted my vote today and I must say I was so proud and satisfied with the whole process … completely transparent and completely peaceful. I humbly request all of you to stop spreading scepticism and for once take a step for the betterment of this country and this proud nation of ours!

MB, you didn’t answer my question. You just restated your assumption. Do you know if he filled the form or not? I didnt ask you if he is a kid or an idiot.

There are ppl who thought that their names are already in the voters list so why should they fill the voter registration form. EC was trying to come up with a new voters list thats why every person should have provided his/her info.

  9. rude awakening (unregistered) on February 18th, 2008 @ 4:19 pm

He should have registered. His name was not on the list. Sorry No vote! Simple as that. Sorry bearded angel.
You know what "big foot" means?
You are making cryptozoologist very exited.

MRL, you are totally correct. MB just likes complaining a lot, without using his brain.

I also was not on the voters list, and could not vote today, but that was due to my own fault, as I did not register in time. I cannot blame the goverment for this. The whole time they kept telling people to register and all.

Its the same process in North America too. You arnt automatically registered, you have to tell them you would like to vote through the voter registration card, same as here.

So quit complaining for no reason!!!

The officer never said WHY his name is not in the list. If someone call edhi and verify from him that he did fill the form will you change the party or will you goto EC and get JUSTICE (that too the *** up justice by MUSH bhai) for EDHI?

You are acting naive. Dont you know how easy it is to rig an election here? While more is coming here, you can enjoy reading this

    Same answer to bros.

MY english CNIC was something outta MARS for PS agents but my vote was there, despite my permanent address different then current one.

Am sure EDHI saheb is VICTIM of STATE

MB, what the heck is wrong with you. Fine, what you are saying makes sense, but your post and first message was all wrong, which is what got everybody annoyed.

You just wrote your "opinion" and went crazy with it. You didnt look at both sides, didnt even think to consider whether he registered or not.

I know from personal expereince, that a lot of people thought that since they voted last time, they’d automatically be on this list as well.

    So you said:
"If someone call edhi and verify from him that he did fill the form will you change the party or will you goto EC and get JUSTICE (that too the *** up justice by MUSH bhai) for EDHI?"

So now if we call Edhi, and he says that he didnt register, then will you go to EC and appoligize for your comments and assumptions? dumbass!

And your post was not about voter rigging. It was about Edhi not being able to vote.

Like honestly..try a bit hard for your posts. So your comment about us being naive is stupid, since we werent even talking about election rigging here.

when we get the computerised NIC then our name should be automatically added to the list!!

whats the use of the computer if they can’t use their pea brains!!

  15. fahmed (unregistered) on February 18th, 2008 @ 5:11 pm

    @ Ali k

the problem with these kmb writers is that they have nothing else to do in life then keep posting useless and sometimes idiotic topics!!

they are completely in love with themselves and with each other.

ever heard of "ANJUMAN -E SITAISH -E BAHIMI" the kmb writers are it’s creators

Are you people nuts? You think Mr. Edhi doesn’t know whether he registered to vote or not and where he is registered? I am curious to know what those that criticize Mr. Edhi have done to help their fellow men and women?

The point of my post is not to discuss whether the elections are rigged or not; its that the posters here are trying to cloud the issue but asking MB stupid questions, like Bluemax did when he asked if MB if he knew whether Mr. Edhi filled out the form or not?

The onus is the citizen to properly register himself– can’t fault the government for this.
