Khuwabo Kay Musafir

Personally I believe that there is no joy greater than watching a well-performed live act and many would support me in this.

Past year, we have seen reasonably good growth in theater scene of Karachi. Ajoka came to Karachi after a decade, NAPA and Tehrik-e-Niswan also arranged some good plays.

This year, the theater scene will kick off with a play “Khuwabo Kay Musafir” written by Intazar Hussain, directed by renowned director Zia Mohyuddin and organized by National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA). The play is scheduled to be performed from 10th January 2009 to 20th January 2009 at Arts Council Theater Hall.

Tickets Available on 0333-2127632.
Ticket Price: Rs. 800/-

I personally think that the ticket price becomes expensive if you are a student, but you can still ask the organizers whether they are willing to provide discounts to student groups as most organizers usually offer big concessions.

why the hell do we need Shahra-e-Iraq, Shahra-e-Iran, and Shaare-Faisal in Pakistan?
I can see Zaib-un-Nisaa (a fashion magazine Bengali lady of Karachi) Street and Nishter Road, but even in these cases they should have named new roads or streets after these people. But, why we need Shahra-e-Iraq? Is there a shahra-e-Pakistan in Iraq?

We are a people of low self esteem. No izzat-e-nafs. Burgers, don’t worry what izzat-e-nafz means? I am talking about people like you.

    Thanks Raheel,

Finally somebody from KMB coverring and promoting events at Arts Council Karachi.

@Balma — Nostalgiaaye, sadly when we lost Bengal, we also lost Runa, Shahnaz and Firsousi Begum etc.

@balma, thanks for commenting but it would only be encouraged if its post related. Secondly I am Raheel, neither a burger, nor a bun kabab, I am a human. Self-esteem comes through giving respect. People make a city or nation, not roads actually.

    @kaami, our pleasure :)

    Lagae Thaikaa!

Why was the above comment removed from my original post? Why was the reference to Roona Laila removed?

Do the bunch of idiots running the show on KMB not know the significance of this remark when it comes to Zia Mohiyuddin? Guess, over the years I have transformed into an old fart and the young burgers or mullahs running the show on KMB have no idea what is the relationship between Zia Mohiyuddin, Lawrence of Arabia, ‘lagae Thaika’ – a regular comment on Zia Mohiyuddin Show of PTV (Karachi) of early 70s, Roona Laila, Deena Laila, and that photograph shop on Victoria Road?

Burgers and Mullahs: leave my city alone. Get out of it!

In the end, if no one is getting it: "lagae Thaekaa" and Zia Mohiyuddin and Karachi and Roonaa Lailaa and Victoria Road are quite related. Khabardaar! jo ap meray khayaalaat ko miTaayaa!

And, that izzat-e-nafs comment was for all on the KMB….not just the

And Kaami and Shamsi: yeh aaj kal kay launDo’n ko kyaa ho gayaa hae?

Sorry Balma, I thought it wasn’t connected, my ignorance. I am new so I wasn’t sure about the best way to moderate. Keep interacting, thanks.

    light and nice drama..
just coming back from there.. however at the end of show, there happened a scene in audience.. a captain Bhai passed his number to a non-captain-but-with-brother Baji..
anyways.. this is one of the obvious trouble which is faced in our society and is not specific to karachi.. think the captain had intention to visit some ‘omar sharif’ sort drama and ended up at wrong place…
