    " i see paan ki "peekain" "

As long as they are not ‘khoon ki chchentain’ you should remain happy.

Indeed Karachi Rocks! I came to karachi expecting a shiny big city but here i am stuck in side the four walls of my mess wondering when will this violece end. I logged on to this site to see what people of karachi were saying about this recent violence but every one is quiet. Not a single mention of what is going on? Have we really accepted this as routine? Maybe i am just over reacting considering i am new to the place and just dont know how this city works. I am just sad that this is what this lovely city has to endure. I dont even understand what sparks this violence and why every one is so frightened. Should i not even be commenting on this here? Am i inviting trouble? Argh i dont know what to else to say.

My apologies to the author i know this has nothing to do with ur post but i have no clue how else to write anything here.. I am venting, maybe just ranting simply because i am unable to take this. Maybe its better to keep our mouths shut but i hope everyone reading this atleast joins me in a silent prayer for the safety and prosperity of our country.

@fasee sab…..I feel like i have missed a chance of a lifetime….I wasn’t here when you need me the most…..this is so bad…..actually I had a long day and went to bed early….fell asleep watching a tom hanks movie….btw they have prepared me in advance for any such event…..through another tom hanks movie…"the terminal" have you seen it….Catherin zeta Jones is the airhostess in it….wonderful movie…

@KDsarkar ….sir can you imagine how Mrs fasee sab would have felt when she found out that he will be spending the night at the terminal…..?also why don’t they cancel the flights when they know I can’t be reached….!

  10. kabirdas on April 30th, 2009 @ 7:22 pm

    @ wasiq
I am not too sure about Mrs Fasee. Mrs KD would have only worried if she knew I did not have my hip flask with me. KD keeps his hip flask full and ready to face such emergencies. I mean after all it is no big deal sleeping at air terminal (even on road side for that matter) if you have with you a hip flask full of Johnie Walker to give you company.
As a matter of fact Mrs KD thinks that I most of he time use my hip flask for inmginary emergencies which an ordinary mortal can easily face after taking a glass of water or at the most lassi. But then KD is not an ordinary mortal unfortunately. He is an extraordinary mortal.

Yaar thanks for the concern, I hope u enjoyed the movie…but I wud jave rather opted for aunty nikole or aunty jesica alba..story koi bhi hoti….yesterday was bad…..what I was most concerned bout was my mobile battry running dry…if I had my car at airport I wud have lasted a week witout trouble…coz I load it with evertyinhg…per khair….it did pass

  12. بستنی (wasiq) on May 1st, 2009 @ 7:49 am

@KD sarkar….sir doesn’t that hinders with the security scanners and how does my sala’s not to be react to it….iam sure their eyes twinkle when you take it out and show it…..
By openly discussing the concerns and apathy of Mrs and pardosans we have made so many people very curious about these female that Iam sure soon they would be invited to join or start a new organization by the name of Karachi blogger’s wives and pardosans association….
and Iam sure their first demand would be to have the right to censor all our comments and also to pull the plug whenever and whatever

@fasee sab…abhi tak car deck thieves ney haath saf nahein kiya….ya hota rehta hai and you refil again…

  13. fasee on May 1st, 2009 @ 8:35 am

    "To pull the plug wherevere"

Did u meant to write to PUT the plug whenever wherever…:)

    "Car thieves"

Well honestly I do need refils…..but only due to me mrs, or my office moochers that I give free ride home to

It just made me think….if in states, then that wud attract a lot of full strip serches due to the scanner going woi woi woi everytime its passed upon

Nice to see the graffiti artist celebrate his love for the city… very much required in these times of violence and economic uncertainty when we all start getting doubtful.

  15. yahudi4 on May 1st, 2009 @ 3:43 pm

it reminds me of my sixth grade teacher…..where is it…?

  16. بستنی (wasiq) on May 1st, 2009 @ 6:58 pm

@fasee sab…."To pull the plug wherevere"
sir I believe you are still not able to recover from the nightmare on the airport….is it that bad these day…..when we were kids we used to enjoy the delayed flights just to be there longer….

that wud attract a lot of full strip serches

    I don’t think so…..they know the drill.

  17. kabirdas on May 1st, 2009 @ 7:07 pm

    @ wasiq
" sir doesn’t that hinders with the security scanners"
It does. So I put it in the check in luggage. Where there is will there is a way :-)

  18. kabirdas on May 1st, 2009 @ 7:13 pm

Remember American Express credit card slogan: ‘Never leave home without it.’
Well, KD follows their advice but in regard to his hip flask.

  19. fasee on May 1st, 2009 @ 9:22 pm

And sir what will u do when taliban wud come…will u be hiding it in the newly formd 3 feet beard or in the state defined black color turbans…??

  20. firstofficer on May 2nd, 2009 @ 3:06 am

I love this slogan….and most of the campaign’s

@KD sarkar….So I put it in the check in luggage. Where there is will there is a way :-)

Sir honestly have you ever feel the need for your flask after check in….or the flight attendants take care of it….

@ff…..don’t you love the tuci’s performance….brings tears in my eyes everytime…and I can’t name the emotion I am going through….

  22. kabirdas on May 2nd, 2009 @ 1:46 pm

    @ Fasee
"will u be hiding it in the newly formd 3 feet beard or in the state defined black color turbans…??"

Hip flask for ready use under the beard and a bottle or two as spare stock in the turban.

  23. kabirdas on May 2nd, 2009 @ 1:53 pm

    @ wasiq
" the flight attendants take care of it…."
Do feel the need more than any other time but can’t be helped. As far as flight aunties are concerned they try to make up for it by feeding the fodder in lieu of the missing food.

  24. بستنی (wasiq) on May 2nd, 2009 @ 1:55 pm

@KD sarkar……I knew there was some beneficial of both….just wasn’t able to put my finger on it….thanks for raising the curtain or should I say dropping it….lol
