Second, when no body wants to pay taxes —> this happens. Unless people in Karachi are willing to pay taxes to the city government and/or for their fair share from the tax collected from the federal government, forget about Karachi making fast progress.

@balma: Karachi alone already contributes to 68% of the federal tax budget. What more do you want? If anything its the other cities and provinces that don’t pay their fair share of taxes.
I feel sorry for these traders. There are other areas such as the one near shaheen store in the NBP lane where work is in progress for many months now. Then there is dhoraji where similar holes have been dug. So its about time someone stood up and protested.

and there is nothing wrong with it, if its in a peaceful manner
its better to protest again and again then to take up arms, but that should not be an excuse for the one in power.
