How come Hamid Hiraj is in the list? He has done nothing good. He was a typical corrupt Punjabi feudal and a federal minister under Musharraf.

who are these people you guyz are talking about : ) only joking

I am sure there is some work being carried out & I can bearly recongnize the city compare to what it was 10 yrs ago, however this is still not enough. As someone (a former city nazim) read out a charge sheet against M Kamal lack of achievements versus amount given/ spent, at the time I was in the company with someone who had inside knowledge of KDA etc & agreed the charge sheet is pretty accurate in that a lot could have been achieved but we have become a nation of corrupt officials so even 20% or 30% is invested we are happy. Obviously I have no means to varify his statement but if you merge both together you get some kind of picture, having said that Mustafa Kamal has worked hard & has done a lot for the city which many in the past ignored completely. What can I say I am still new here.

thats the state of dilema we are in….a normal task achived, if my western standards….looks like a miracle work to us….so is the level of capabilities in rest of the leadership.

living in the same pethetic envirnoment…a guy achiving no mean feat…..swiming agisnt the water current is risky some times lethal..yet that guy did it

all those hypocrates presenting charge sheets….wish they live to see what these sidnhs will turn this city into…like it was ever before in hands of the mullah and army punjab nexus or the sindhi cluthes.

It is now quite evident that even tat-poonjia Mushrraf men were million times better than the theifs we have now. How swiftly our mentality has switched from a lot to do to nothing to do. From a sense of purpose (albeit sometimes misdirected) to no-sense of purpose.

  27. Allama Pajama (unregistered) on March 9th, 2010 @ 9:46 am

    @ kaami.

hmmm…so , sir, are you implying , after eating sau jootay shud we start eating the baki ki 50 piyaaz which were left since the last stint of sab se pehlay pakistan…??

  28. Kaami (unregistered) on March 9th, 2010 @ 7:50 pm

    @Allama Jee

I am not implying anything, its just that as a nation (if we can be classified as) we are too embroiled in conspiracy theories and yes why not “Sub se pehley Pakistan” , that indeed was a contrast and a parting from an age old delusion ( that was so successfully inacted by subsequent governments) that we are the “Leaders / Saviours” of the so called ummah. Yes ofcourse, there were some nimompoops in the Mush administration but at the same time there were indeed some very enterprising go getters, who really transformed the institutions they were deputed to. There was a sense of purpose and a desire to move forward, considering the financially bankrupt and looted state we were in 1999.

The problem is and, I will re-etriate that we expect perfections from our leaders in office but on the other hand force the return of known thieves, carry them on our shoulders and give them third or fourth chance at screwing and then we complain.

sir, first of all..lemme clarify my own biases…i alwasy army rule…coz dats the only time we ever growed..democracy alwasy hit us hard economiclay or sociioly.

agreed bout the sqaviours…but i really doubt they are being cured of there islam ka qila or ummah ke muhafiz “khabt”…they just went underground waiting to come back once the glory days of MMA rule comes.

agreed on the qoum pickign the thieves agin….dast why i say..sali hypocrate qoum….khud he lay ke aoo phir khud hi rowo..

take sawat…these were there own donation fed talibs..who when banged them hard later on…then they came in drives to distrub us..and govt taxed us in name of IDP tax…salay karain yeh , bharain hum

    Allama Jee,

And after getting rid of whatever professionals that were running the show, they thought that the hular baaz lawyers will provide the leadership for the march towards a utopian state. They confused freedom with free for all.

  31. بستنی (wasiq) on March 10th, 2010 @ 1:45 am

I totally agree with Kaami jee….in order to save Islamabad from the unruly crowd gathered with intention of causing damage to property and innocent foreigners the prime minister gillani re instated cjp….if it had been the era of Gen saab (Zia) this unruly crowd would have been taken to task…much earlier….I have heard somewhere that during some world war the french surrendered to the nazi’s to save the Paris….Iam not sure if it is historically accurate…but the thing is that sometimes giving in does not mean you were right…

@allama pajama saab…if you honestly believe that talebans who were fed on donations are fighting the NATO forces for so long ….than I believe you are misled by the gen saabs propoganda….so help you God !

now sir, i am damn sure you are part of our ku klux klan club already.

pajama also thinks lawyers movement was a hularbazi, wraped with sacred ittar of integrity, ethics, freedom, morality and blah blah blah…

while i personaly belive there is no comon gournd of these mentioned above, with any one remotly involved with teh judicial system.

    you cant clean them either.

    as my aqwaal-e-pajamajaat says.

no matter how much deteergent you use, you can never make bullshit squeaky clean.

or why only lawyers movement….pajama is agsint all those revolutions who had been idolised and painted as glorious events.

biased historians and biased use of partial facts…..why every body knows bout the oraneg revolution, french revolution, rusisn revolution but no body knows what happened to the ones who brought and for whom it was brought…what haoppened to them is also history…history seldom told

Remember the die hard leftist of the 60’s and 70’s, who joined the PPP band wagon and yelled with Bhutto “Roti, Kapra aur Makaan”.

All they managed was screwing business / commerce thanks to “Nationalization” while the feudals went scot free. In one stroke we lost the most enterprising enterprneur class in South Asia. After wards when Zia came to power, most of them ended up in the west taking up lucrative positions in various UN organizations or at the worst living on welfare as political refugees.

  35. بستنی (wasiq) on March 11th, 2010 @ 3:28 am

I don’t remember the die hard leftist of 60 or 70’s but I come across their sons and daughters and grandsons and grand daughters….in Pakistan Steel mills,PIA,PTV,haripur, faisalabad,Hayatabad….every nook and corner ready and willing ….

sir, i blieve you without oath…but dat proves nothing….a flaoting bikini is of no prime commercial value unless and until you can find the remaning piece of the puzzle, in an untouched manner….:D:D

during my walks on the sand, i came in reliably close enough to recognise rubbers in plain, dotted, ribbed, etc forms.

ab by teh quantity of it available there…either there are a dozen hormone crazed party fests gogin on there on daily basis…or there is some sewerage draining on the beach form clifton/zamzama flats…lol

I have a simple solution… Lets cut Karachi from Pakistan, and let the Harami Punjaib, Choor Sindhi, and Zani Pathans to live in the mud.

If you don’t work and build the country, don’t expect to have money taken from Karachi.

what a biased comment on punjab. it was very evident from these years findings on corruption was evedently shown on high in Sindh rather than in punjab.
