KESC may fource 14 hours of Load shedding on the citizens of Karachi.

KESC has asked the citizens of Karachi to brace themselves for up to 14 hours of load shedding. The impact of this would really be unbearable for those small businesses and shop keepers who cant afford to have a power generator at their dispense. It will also have an adverse effect on petrol and gas consumption because people will use these resources to fuel up their power generators. Students, elderly people at homes, house wives, children thus every citizen will be paying a price.

With already a backbreaking inflation, financial crises, job cuts, sense of insecurity due to an increasing crime rates and ever increasing fear of terrorism this power crises would just add more to the misery of a common citizen of the city.

well, this proves that these people are not capable enough.
the steps taken by this government up-till now, like 8 o’clock closing time for shops and CNG load shedding were just a reaction to the outrage that people showed, main in punjab.
I fear that the worse is yet to come, but fingers crossed.

Just bring Musharraf back. I don’t care even if he kills Iftikhar chaudhry. I just wanna live my life in peace with cool breaze from my Pak-Fan. I will support musharraf even if he bombards supreme court with USA drones.

I just cant bare Asif Zardari.

I remember vividly, the ‘Jiyalays’ and ‘Karkunz’ dancing in the street when PP won elections and subsequently when Mr. 10% took charge of the highest office in Pakistan.

Hmm..while I am sitting in London, and my sympathies with my friends, families and all the ordinary people who are suffering at the hands of this government, I can’t help but notice a sly smile on my face for all those ‘Nikamay’ people cheering for Zardari. I am glad that they are suffering – MAY BE just may be – they will learn a lesson.

While reading the news, 99% of all news coming out of Pakistan are depressing (you can count at jang’s website) – while if there is any good news – its mostly in the ‘overseas’ section of the news.

I just wish that Allah (swt) put a JUST leader on top of Pakistan. However, looks unlikely, as people would still be voting for these same good-for-nothing politicians come next elections. How many times are we going to let the same snake bite us again and again and again??

    Good Luck!!

I dont’ see why it is Zardari’s fault (oh my! I am actually defending Zardari). Unless Pakistanis control this population explosion, there will never be enough food, shelter, education, or healthcare for anyone. Barqi tavaanaaee tou boahut baad kee baat hae!

And then look at our idiots who love to complain: hukoomat maali deevaliah-pun kaa shikaar, bairoonee sarmaayah kaar Pakistan say baizaar, and then if any maai kaa laal invests money to put a plant that can sell power to KESC or WAPDA, our idiots complain about rental power projects.

Note for burgers: If you don’t understand Urdu, good!

@balma Unless Pakistanis control this population explosio

This will never happen because our people are Jaahil. Do you understand me? They are not merely un-educated or illiterate, they are purely Jaahil-religious fanatics, toham parast, dumb, blockhead, mazhabi khurafaat or jahalat se bharey heN in ke dimagh. Try to argue with some Jaahil pakistani over this population issue and see the great answers you get from them. Oh wait, why am I telling you all this? I am sure you must have already experienced the high level of their jahalat. sirf na-umeedi buddy sirf na-umeedi or kuch nahin.

Only two reason come into my mind. Either their bosses in Washington are against any such deal with Iran or our wada saeen is not getting his cut.

Jahil people who don’t have the commonsense to understand that more people = more resources needed = more trouble for themselves + an incompetent leadership = DISASTER. seriously, I think it’s about time we mixed sterilizers in salt or something. And yet we Karachiites still like to boast about how “maadran” we are. Sad.

  13. odin (unregistered) on May 16th, 2010 @ 1:24 pm

hahah. I still remember how one of our closed relative had stopped using the newly introduced iodine salt because, according to him, the Americans used to add some chemicals in the salt to sterilize Pakistani men. That guy had an MBA from a respective university and worked for almost two decades for a Swede company.

As I said earlier our nation is nor merely un-educated or illiterate we are the epitome of jahalat.

We produce children like rabbits although we have neither time (time enough but mostly spent watching cheap bollywood flicks or saas bahoo nonsense) nor money to invest in their future. But thakns to Allah our Kafir brothers have taken over this responsibility. England will educate them, Canada will allow them to live in their peaceful country and Americans will provide them jobs, nahin to dubai to he hi. dkeho allah ke kaam kesey kafiron ke zarye apni ummat ki madad karta he. allaho akbar…

^ What really disturbs me is that it is our “educated” people who are so confused. You, sir, have put it the best way it could – we are the epitome of jahalat (jaahil goes way beyond illiterate or uneducated). And you pointed it out very well that we tend to treat everything as a religious issue or (thanks to Zaid Hamid in recent years) a “Hindu/Zionist” conspiracy against us.

Also, good job at sarcastically pointing out that we tend to treat everything as a religious issue or (thanks to Zaid Hamid in recent years) a “Hindu/Zionist” conspiracy against us.

I am very much disappointed with by poll results, it truly depict the mentality of a defeated nation, hopeless indeed when fake degree holders can still manage to win, what this means is that, there is no room for truthful person in politics hence no chance to improve either.

    good luck my fool brothers

    you deserve this.

Can I safely say that “Pakistan is a failed state” ??

  17. Irfan (unregistered) on June 7th, 2010 @ 5:59 pm

State’s job is to ensure safety, availability of food, education and health care.

We don’t even have power, clean drinking water either.

Yes Pakistan IS a failed state.

Whether it can rise again depends on her people and that seems very unlikely with the kind of people our nation keeps voting in.

I agree with nitevolf-I can live with Musharraf.
